2. Except that almost all of Dean's delegates are super delegates.
They are unpledged, and can at anytime choose to go to another candidate. Only the delegates won in a primary or caucus have to vote for that candidate, and then only on the first ballot.

4. So over half the delegates pledged or stating a preference support someone
other than Kerry.

Keep that in mind in weeks to come. If Kerry slips up on his way to "frontrunner emeritus" those delegate numbers will become very important indeed.

Even if they only keep the same ratio it seems likely the choice fo the nominee will be made in Boston in July. That will certainly be interesting, to say the least.
