Don Evans was on CNBC apologizing for Lee Raymonds salary
Rationale: LR created a lot of shareholder value.

My thoughts: The dramatic rise in the price of crude created the increase in shareholder value. Big oil always says that they cannot control the price of crude therefore LR had little to do with Exxon's huge valuation.

Additional thought: Do you think LR would have quit had he been offered only 1/4 or 1/8 of what he did receive?

1. yeah... right around the same time he received his bonus
the price went up at the pump.
