1. He is sounding ridiculous
I like Dennis, but he is sounding silly saying he still will win the nomination. 1-3% isn't gonna cut it. A vanity presidential campaign is not the place to make a statement. I'm disappointed.

16. Can you say "brokered convention"?
There may not be a candidate with 50% on the first ballot in Boston. That means ANY candidate could become the dealmaker-- or dealbreaker.

NOBODY else is framing the debate like Dennis-- that's why everybody's stolen his issues. If you STILL want these issues to be talked about, keep him in the race.

5. Apples and oranges
Dennis is sitting at one - three percent. Dewey and Truman have fought it out for how many primaries now? Dewey, this time, has won them all. When and where does Dennis Kucinich win?

11. With 10% of the delegates chosen
Edited on Wed Feb-04-04 12:48 AM by realpolitik
The question of where he turns the corner is moot.

As the campaign has already shown, the electorate
is hardly marching in unison, except away from Bush*. I am glad you respect my candidate.
His message may not be turning the tide yet, but I hasten to remind you that it is February. It is a complete policy statement, and cannot be
absorbed like a semi coherent Rovism, so it will take a few weeks longer for Clear Channel America to catch on.

But read the news on the Jobs, Iraq, and Health-care, and extrapolate 4 months of the sort of stuff we had to deal with in 2003, piled higher and deeper, faster.

Ask Dennis again at the end of June. Be prepared to vote for him in November, and since you respect him, you wont have to hold your nose. I see that as a win-win.

6. Thanks, Momma!

He's right, he needs to be there to ask questions about the war, despite some wanting him to drop out.

Tucker Carlson and David Gergen are such obnoxious morons.

8. I thought it was important
thank you midwest momma. It is very sad to me to see a man who has committed himself to serve this country and the American people for so long with so much risk to be talked about on a democratic board with so little respect. You would think sometimes you were on the wrong board.

9. I respect him
I really do....but right now, he's losing respect by staying in when he is polling so poorly. The Democratic Party is just not ready for a Kucinich. That's been made loud and clear in various parts of the country. Kucinich should step aside in the presidential race and make congress his bully pulpit. With all due respect.

10. I disagree
no one else is bringing up PNAC or the OSP. There are many things the others either will not bring up or are not planning on bringing up. Do you not think that this is important? He is not losing respect, perhaps he is to the people who say " I respect him" but dismiss him as if he was insignificant but to the rest of us he is only gaining in our eyes as he continues to put himself out there with this grueling schedule for our interest.

13. You mean YOU're not ready
for real change.

Don't project YOUR unreadiness on other people.

Most people haven't even heard of Dennis, and of the ones who have, they like him, but they don't have the courage to vote for him because they think that some hypothetical OTHER PEOPLE are not "ready."

15. I do not understand
basing your vote on what someone else thinks.

Doesn't that kind of defeat the whole purpose?

Either way, we sure do need Dennis in the race. Who else talks about BBV? WMD lies (hello?!), ending the occupation ASAP (which requires handing over control of the spoils of war), etc?

18. I am so tired of Dems telling another Dem to be quiet & go away
Dennis is the only one with the courage to say things that need to be said.
The idea of someone posting on a message board telling him he should (I'm paraphrasing your sentiments here) give up, shut up and go away is really too much.

There have been many on his campaign who have worked night & day to get his words heard...not to mention the insane schedule Dennis himself is keeping just to get his voice of truth heard...or the kids who are walking across the United States for Dennis and for peace. As a matter of fact, the more I think about this , the more angry it makes me. You (& others too) should be damn grateful this man has the courage and strength to speak out and try to make this freakin country better for everyone in it...not the just the "right" people.

Thanks for you respect but how about a little gratitude as well.
peace & hope
DR

14. ANTI NAFTA/WTO

I started hearing Edwards talking about the evils of NAFTA tonight. I think Dennis is catching on.

Dennis wins by making the other candidates more like Dennis. END NAFTA and WTO!!!!!! I want to hear this stuff strong and clear across the nation. This issue has COATTAILS!!!!! We need a Democratic House dedicated to ending NAFTA and WTO.

19. "a Democratic House dedicated to ending NAFTA and WTO"
Are you optimistic? Or is this delusional?

I would love to see that as well, but without a mandate from the people (nominate Kucinich), it just ain't gonna happen.

bush has CAFTA warming up in the bullpen.

Who wants to guess how many Dems make an issue out of it?

22. Things are changing

Democrats are starting to find their balls as their constituents keep losing their jobs. The issue is REALLY starting to resonate.

No really. I was writing letters 8 months ago about this shit. There was ZERO, ZILCH in the papers. Now it's starting to take off.

Just keep talking about it to EVERYONE you meet. Become an informer. Show them why so many jobs are going overseas. It is taking hold.

Once the public starts buzzing about it, Congressman will start pandering to it ;-)

After all, I haven't seen the Ramseys on TV in a while. :eyes:

If anyone is a joke, it's f***ing Larry King!
