N.Y.Times to do front page story on Pelosi
The NY.Times is doing a front page story on "confident" House minority leader Nancy Pelosi. She doesn't want to appear overconfident, but the pipe dream of Democrats retaking the House is now becoming more and more a reality if things continue going as is.

2. This is a set up...
Edited on Mon May-29-06 09:50 PM by jaysunb
This will begin the discussion that will lead to her villification. This will be a little spark that they hope to turn into a flame by November. She won't be alone. Look for the Dems platform to be systematically turned upside down so much so that WE won't recognize it.

This is the MSM doing their bit to enable their partners. :evilfrown:

6. I am not a big Pelosi, but I have to agree with you
It was just last week that the NY times headlined bill and hillary's marriage

There is a real problem when the MSM doesn't go after the real stories, such as the illegal iraq war, illegal wire tapping, etc. etc. etc.

7. Yep, this is a setup by NY Times
and if Dems take the House, we really need to reconsider having Pelosi as Speaker. She has been a failure as House leader, and she will be an even bigger failure as Speaker. Strangely enough, this is the same point of view held by Rahm Emmanuel, of all people!

8. Emmanuel is a DLCer.
I'll take Speaker Pelosi over Emmanuel. Also, Rahm is a new comer still.

9. Pelosi shot herself on the foot when she gave Bush a pass
on his crimes and law-breaking. If Bush broke the law, and we know he did, and he admitted it, he must be impeached if we are to save the Republic.

I don't care that Emmanuel is DLC when it comes to Pelosi.

12. NOT ME. I would take Rahm Emanuel in Pelosi's place in a NY minute!
I don't give a flying shit if he's associated in any way with the DLC (so are the Clintons, John Kerry, etc.. etc... etc....)

I'm not saying that I dislike Nancy Pelosi, but I think she's not the most effective speaker we could have!

She bumbles and stumbles far too much.

Rahm on the other hand.. =WOW= The guy is eloquent, articulate, intelligent, sharp, witty.. PERFECT for speaker!

~~~ ~~~
DLC or not.. Congressman Emanuel would do an incredible job in that position and would make a positive impact for Democrats!
5. Those SOBs!!
:mad:
They are doing their damnedest to gather the Repub base together. As if the Democrats are over-confident and the Repubs will look for revenge in that case. That's the way it appears to my untrained eye..
10. Here come the hatchets
I wouldbet money the WH encouraged this hack job to get attention off of Il Dunce' for awhile. They'll probably also be doing stories on Al Gore (look for the word 'pedantic' to appear 15-20 times), the Clintons' marriage (Monica), and Kerry (wind surfing). The WH is in full-bore campaign mode, and the media will be doing their bidding.
