To those of you who would sit out of the November election if
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 11:44 PM by jchild
your candidate isn't the nominee: I have one thing to say.

OKLAHOMA ~ 1275 VOTES

Oklahoma's race between Clark and Edwards (at times divided by as few as 12 votes) shows us that every vote counts. I just don't see how anyone can sit home next November 2.

Hope those of you who have stated that you will stay at home if Candidate X isn't elected will reconsider. I agree with my father on one very important point: If you aren't going to go vote, you have no right to later complain about the person who is elected.

1. I hope the lack of responses is due to the fact that everyone now
sees the vital importance of each single vote, and that those who have threatened to withhold their votes have now reconsidered.

That would be great! :-)

2. You are nicer than me.
In my mind I say those who won't vote can go #%@^ themselves.

4. Thank you for the wake-up call
Not that I'm one of those won't-vote types, but that slim margin is a very vivid reminder!

5. To those who would stay home in November I say this:
All Your Votes is Belong to Us!
Think of your vote as a "shout-out" to your hard-working
Democratic brothers and sisters.

6. Right on - Think about this.
No doubt - Oklahoma showed again how every vote counts. Imagine if Edwards had squeaked by there. It would have been "Edwards win two! Clark out!" Now, they don't get to spin it that way. If Clark goes on to win the nomination - he can thank those 1,275 people in Oklahoma.

7. Um, that's what Dean supporters have been saying for weeks now.
Duh?

10. Hmmm...I guess I am like Kerry and Edwards: just a Dean imitator
:eyes:

Duh? Oh, was I NOT talking about Oklahoma? Yeah! That's right! I was.

11. In fairness, there's a lot of frustration
And I think Dean fans still have every right to be upset about the scream coverage. Granted Iowa was in before it and we are only 9 states into this game, but the media coverage of that scream was pure propaganda.

Whomever we end up with, the very first target of our party must be the FCC, and restoration of the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE.

There are other FCC rules regarding candidate time that could also use some fine tuning as we all saw with Arnold's coronation.

Things are desperately wrong with this country.

There is much I appreciate about Dean and some I don't...but his supporters are very committed to him and having him sit out these states was tough.

Even so, he did better than some candidates who spent money.
