2. Some of these votes are absentee whitehouse...and are still
counted. They were cast before he dropped out.

3. He might still be on the ballot
In 2000, for instance, Bradley had been out of the race for about three weeks before I finally got to vote in Indiana - but he was still on the ballot.

People remain on the ballot because it takes a petition to get them on - the ballots are printed and made ready. To get them to change the ballot to remove one or two names is simply asking the states to lay out money that they can't afford to spend.

People might be voting for him in Missouri, or elsewhere, because they don't like any of the other candidates. Or it could be Republicans registered as Democrats not voting for people still in it in an attempt to sabotage things.

5. By percentage
Kerry - 38%
Edwards - 27%
Clark - 17%
Dean - 8%
Lieberman - 5%
Sharpton - 3%
Kucinich - 1%
Gephardt - 0.5%
Uncommitted - 0.3%

Anything less than 10% as a candidate when that many votes have been cast you need to seriously consider dropping out IMHO.

6. Kucinich and Sharpton should drop out tonight
Dean should drop out if he cannot win either Michigan or Washington
