Okay I believe it. They are ignoring Clark.
I like Edwards and congratulate him on his win, but Clark has come in a respectable 2nd in most of the states tonight. Edwards won one, but he came way behind in a few. Clark has steady results. A quarter of the voters on most of the states. What a shame the way the media is ignoring him. I have listened to the Clark supporters complain about this for a week or so, but now I am a believer. Sucks for you guys. Sorry. Fight on!

1. Well...my theory has always been....
that the so-called "candidates" are not pre-screened by "the people"
but by the media and the oligarchs.... After that, then we're allowed
to play "democracy".

8. Honestly, I think the same thing was happening to Kerry, but then
he started winning in Iowa and New hampshire. They could not ignore that. It was too sensational. Even tonight they tried to marginalize him after Edwards won. But seriously, I think Clark will also win one and get more 2nds.

11. Friendly Competition
We need strong competition between Kerry, Clark, Dean and Edwards for the following reasons:

- to spark voter interest in the election in the 45 states that have not yet voted
- to take advantage of free media attention
- to have a backup candidate if the front-runner stumbles badly
- to have the winning candidate sharpen his campaign skills and develop a strong organization

P.S. - I personally would like to see a Kerry-Clark ticket.

I also thought a bit too much was being made of the "Clark media blackout" theory, but I am becoming more of a believer tonight.

4. Thanks Cindy
I've got the sound down on the TV and all I see is Edwards, Kerry, Lieberman, Sharpton, Edwards, Kerry, Edwards, etc. It's really infuriating.

My husband says he feels like he did when his vote was stolen in 2000. He doesn't have a damn say in this election either (we're in California - looks like you are, too)

27. No. I'm a Kerry supporter, so I really don't know Clark people.
I look forward to meeting more Dems though in the next month. I met some Clark people at the Ojai Dem rally. I can't remember names though.

7. Clark's press people...
...need to get him on TV!

I guess maybe they're waiting for the Oklahoma results to finish, but they could have tried to get him a primetime appearance.

His campaign could do more to put his face out there.

but he us from OK, and does strongly support the general...it's too bad they couldn't have done some type of quick interview somewhwere along the way, ala Buzzflash.

someone's people should have tried to get in touch with someone else's people...

it could still happen.

wes deserves and needs all the press he can get.

9. You're certainly right. It's as if Clark dropped out last week. Most of
blame probably goes to the media, but I gotta believe that Clark's people have not done a good job tonight. I've been flipping channels all night and have yet to see Clark or a spokesman on the air yet.

I'll bet the media whores bump Clark's comments with Kerry. Just as they did in NH. Coincidence?

15. I think it's a little more complicated...
a chicken/egg kind of issue. Candidates seem to get about the amount of coverage that their public support warrants. What that does, though, is sort of secure their position in the public's mind.

Kucinich supporters complained that he got so little coverage - but he was never polling more than 3%. So he got very little coverage.

When Dean was the clear frontrunner, he got the lion's share of the attention. Then Kerry started rising, and now Kerry gets all the attention.

Like I said, it's a chicken/egg thing.

Media bias/coverage is manipulating the "choice" for the Democratic candidate. Right now they are choosing to favor Kerry with special mentions to Edwards.

But I swear the media can't wait to bring them down when they are eventually squared off against *. Their * blind spot will takeover and they'll humiliate the nominee they told us to select.
Now is not the time to vote ABB.

Anyway, I don't know why they've dismissed Clark and his message. About the only coverage he's received has been about his sweater and his Michael Moore "deserter' response. I watched that debate and liked his response, but you'd never get that once it had been sliced and diced.

31. cindyw...
...I didn't think it was true either, and I'm a Clark supporter!

It took me a couple weeks to see what was up.

I am NOT deterred...I will fight for Clark as long as he wishes to fight. That said, I n longer believe in anything resembling an objective media in this country. They can kiss my right elbow (as opposed to my a$$).

I believe that eventually, the truth rises to the surface as does cream on milk. I will continue to believe that my support of Clark is the right thing to do, right NOW.

I'm ABB in November, but for now, Clark is my' profile in courage.' If y'all don't like it, well...nevermind. ;-)
