Senator Reid, IT IS TIME TO SHUT DOWN THE SENATE AGAIN!!!
Edited on Fri May-19-06 08:31 AM by Nimrod2005
In desperation moves, the GOP mother fuckers are bringing up more and more of their silly ass so called wedge issues, which is simply destructive to all Americans and our country.

The English as our National Language is one
The Fence or how big of a fence is another
The Immigration issue
The gay Marriage issue
The CIA confirmation where we can't know ANYTHING because it is a SECRET
Asshole Roberts saying we won't have liberty if we are dead...etc.
The $70 billion tax cut * just signed...
Talk about flag burning coming up again...

All of these things are bullshit...Reid needs to close the Senate for the same reason he closed it last time, where is the second phase of the 9/11 intelligence failure and investigation?

Instead of real issues, real government work, GOP is EXTREMELY busy with stuff that only help them position themselves for the November elections...

Will someone somewhere please stand up and help take our country back?

26. She compared flag burning to burning a cross..
Edited on Sat May-20-06 10:34 AM by niallmac
The analogy is lost on me. One represents the darkest places of racism and hate in our country.
The other represents a political statement, inflammatory to some but a political statement.
We really sincerely need a leader in these times of national crises. If Hillary wants to pander to get
votes then she is same ol same ol. It is especially odious when educated folks like Hillary pander. Not so odious when ignorant
country bumpkin reps do it.
Pandering is what fascism thrives on.

2. Yes but . . . these (mostly) trivial issues can be turned around . . .
Edited on Fri May-19-06 08:44 AM by MrModerate
So they bite the 'Licans on the ass in November. How does "Do-nothing, know-nothing Republican Congress" sound to you? How about "They can't get out of Iraq, but they want to get in your bed." Or "Republicans stand for cowardice in the face of terror." Or, my favorite "50 bucks for you; millions for the millionaires."

All of these initiatives (tax handouts excepted) are tremendously unserious, and the people are coming to realize it. Even if a majority of voters oppose same-sex marriage, most of them -- at heart -- really don't care that much, compared to real issues.

I say the 'Licans are digging their graves even deeper, if we can capitalize on their trivialization of governance.

11. Why aren't they talking about filibustering Hayden?
That nazi oversaw the illegal wiretapping program and now we're going to roll over and put him in charge at CIA??? Bush is under 30% approval and we can't stop a dirtbag like Hayden? This country gets scarier every day.

in November.

If they let that Hayden through at this point, I don't see how they can look the public in the eyes and ask them to have confidence in the Dem leadership.

13. This has been most disappointing issue, we know he ran the program
to spy on us, we know he is in bed with Rummy, 70% no longer support the war, but nobody is speaking out.

I hate to see a would-be top spy, sitting there in his military uniform - Just scary.

19. Hayden as head of the CIA has me so depressed I don't even want to blog
For the briefest of moments I thought the CIA might go after the Bushists, when that analysts publicly proved Rummy was a liar but instead a criminal will be appointed to head the agency.

14. You are watching desperation in action.
They are pulling every right-wing issue out of the hat, because they see the future and it doesn't include them.

occasioinal Durbin, Feingold, Kennedy comment. Not actual winning votes, but comments...a few.
