Frist, 2003: Against policies that "divide people"
What a piece a work this jackass is. What about your gay marriage amendment, jerk? Doesn't tend to divide people?

Speaker: Senator William H. 'Bill' Frist (TN)
Title: Senator Frist Discusses the Senate Agenda, Bush Tax Cut, and North Korea
Location: Unknown
Date: 01/12/2003
Senator Bill Frist discusses Senate agenda, Bush tax cut, Iraq and North Korea

MR. RUSSERT: But first, joining us is the new majority leader of the United States Senate, Dr. Bill Frist, the senator from Tennessee.

...

SEN. FRIST: You know, I am opposed to racial quotas and racial set-asides that tend to divide people and not bring them together.

...

MR. RUSSERT: Governor George Ryan, Republican of Illinois, yesterday commuted the sentences of everyone on death row in Illinois. He has called for a moratorium on the death penalty because he believes it is unfairly assigned to members of a minority community. You would be in favor of a moratorium on the death penalty across the country?

SEN. FRIST: Not across the country, {b]and I would allow each governor to examine this issue. Science and technology has in many ways revolutionized our ability to diagnose, in many ways, evidence—has it been accurate in the past? With that, some states have really been on the forefront. Some have not been on the forefront. And I would leave it up to each individual state to make that ultimate decision as to what they want to do in terms of moratorium on the death penalty.

...

1. Frist falsely adopted cats to perform medical experiments
on them. If he could purposely deceive humane shelters and harm innocent cats, he's no one I could trust. Something very Nazi about him.

2. It's insane how they've manipulated the senate calendar...
With all that's going on (Iraq, border security, ensuring New Orleans is ready for the upcoming hurricane season, jobs, healthcare, the deficit, etc, etc, etc....)

...They are making certain that GAY MARRIAGE and FLAG BURNING will be the two pressing issues that consume the airwaves and ALL MEDIA in the upcoming months prior to the November elections.

I just wish there was some way that Democrats could put their foot down and DEMAND that those issues be DELAYED until the VITAL business was taken care of!

Scooter the lying Libby's trial was postponed until January 2007. Why? You know why... we have an election coming up!

Isn't there any way at all that Democrats can say NO - these two low priority items will not be on the calendar until the more pressing issues are taken care of??

Al Franken said on his show yesterday that there hasn't been a flag burning case investigated in over 5 years.. But he said that when the senate moves to what they feel is this "highly urgent summer 2006 matter", that the media will talk about NOTHING BUT flag burning non-stop.

Same with same-sex marriage when that also comes up this summer.

There ---HAS--- to be a way to say NO -- not NOW!!!

Hey, I know. We can check today's activity in Iraq.. http://icasualties.org/oif/

Hmmm. Not much going on for 5-18-06. Might as well turn the media focus on gay marriage and flag burning...

WHAT THE HELL ARE THE REPUBLICAN'S PRIORITIES !?!?!?!?

Flag-f$cking burning !??! Look at that list!! All of that was just for TODAY!

And yet we will allow them to conveniently change the subject?

There has to be a way to STOP THIS MADNESS and refuse to allow the Senate to manipulate the media over the next few months with lower priority issues that can wait until AFTER the election!
