Democrats take lead
I was watching Lou Dobbs tonight, and his was doing a story about the illegal immigration bill being debated in congress.

He made a comment about how the republican were letting the democrats take the lead on this issue, and that got me to thinking.

It's my humble opinion that most republican are racist, and thats their motive for taking up illegal immigration in the first place.

So if Dobbs is correct and the democrats are taking the lead in this debate, want the bad things thats going to come from this bill end up being blamed on democrats?

I say bad things and the reason for that language is because the topic is so divisive, and i think most Dem's want repugs to stay home in Nov.

It troubles me some because the Dem's have been under repug rule for all these years, they seem excited about getting to do something. And i feel the repugs will use this against the Dem's, i don't know how but i feel it will turn out bad for the democrats.

Please tell me i'm wrong, and explain how this is a good thing?

...Like trying to provoke repug turnout by saying the Democrats will use their power to investigate the president if they are elected? It's really weak. Actually kinda makes me salivate at the prospect. See this cartoon:

2. The truth is that the Dems will never know victory without taking
a chance....

pull off the gloves and kick their asses...the truth is the Dems have to prove they mean business to pull the libertarian votes...the Goldwater Republicans.....and we the Dems have to get out and get people registered and get them to the poles....

The Repugs are collapsing like a demolitioned building.....falling in on themselves from the corruption, the bigotry, the arrogance...and hubris...

The Hispanic Vote may screw the Republicans more than they think.....

7. You're not wrong
They set it up for exactly that to happen.

They can be beaten with their own cudgel, but it will take some serious political skill to do it.

This is one where we're better off running out the clock.
