Laura's having a yard sale!! Only one BIG problem...
Edited on Thu May-18-06 02:26 PM by newyawker99
... "The Libray Foundation" on E-Bay is no where to be found.
I clicked the link provided and I got an E-Bay error page...so, I did a search on E-Bay
For "Laura Bush Foundation for American's Libraries" and nada. Zip. Zilch!

So, I shortened the search to "Laura Bush Foundation" and it came up with only 14 items.

# 14 items found for Laura Bush Foundation {for American's Libraries} <--scratched out on ebay.

Senate Spouses Auction Donated Gowns
From Associated Press
May 17, 2006 5:50 PM EDT

WASHINGTON -

Shopping for a special occasion - day or evening - and don't mind getting a secondhand piece that comes with an interesting back story? Or just curious about the fashion choices of women in the political elite?

Either way, there are 115 suits, dresses, cocktail ensembles, evening gowns and other outfits on sale on the Internet auction Web site eBay that were donated by the Spouses of the Senate organization. Proceeds from the sale of the dresses, which began Tuesday and closes May 26, will help Gulf Coast schools damaged by Hurricane Katrina rebuild their libraries and restock the shelves.

The money raised will be sent out through first lady Laura Bush's foundation.

"I appreciate their help to put library books back into the hands of children," Mrs. Bush said.

The dresses were donated to the Laura Bush Foundation for American's Libraries.
Donors include female senators, former first ladies, wives and children of senators and others - including singer Gladys Knight, actress and comedian Rita Rudner and Labor Secretary Elaine Chao.

It's from one of Peter Jackson's first films called "Brain Dead" or "Dead Alive". About the funniest zombie movie you've ever seen...(better than "Sean of the Dead".)

16. Go to "view sellers other items" and they all come up
There's a suit donated by Barbara Boxer, a dress by Lady Bird Johnson and a pantsuit donated by Roslyn Carter amongst the offerings.
Absolutely nothing to write home about!
My personal favorite is a green satin dress with a HUGH bow tie titled "suitable for White House functions"

   Sure, why not?!?

21. That jacket does leap out at you.....
but not in a good way. It's the kind of thing that would get up in the night by itself and roam around making unearthly sounds. It is evil. Kind of like that tree in that old science fiction movie, "From Hell it Came." If there are pants that match we are in real trouble, here.
