Early perspective: Looks like OK is going down to the wire between...
Clark and Edwards with Kerry coming in 3rd. Clark does indeed need a win, even if it is by the slimmest margins. A win and a couple of second-place finishes could keep him in the race for a while longer. I hope he does it because I think he has the best message of all the Democrats...except Dennis. :) If he doesn't win tonight, he is a realist, so don't be surprised if he does drop out. Regardless, the race will be thinned considerably...

1. The media probably won't consider OK a "win" even if Clark wins it.
Since Edwards is in the picture now, he's the big winner. It's really frustrating to see pundits declaring tonight a loss for Clark when he's still winning OK, albeit by a slim margin, and is set to come in second in at least one or two other states tonight.

But hell, it's nothing new - they've been shitting on Clark for months now.

9. No kidding...
I told my husband that even if Clark wins OK by a few hundred votes, the media will "slip" like it did all last week and give #1 to Edwards instead (I kid you not, I heard local news programs say Edwards took 3rd in NH several times this week).

2. Clark will go far very far
if he wins OK. He will get a voice. He is doing well in the polling here and he could do well in TN

3. Wait until NM and AZ tonight
He could do very well in both those states, it looks like the NA Times endorsement is helping him in OK, hopefully he will do well with that and a few other endorsements in AZ and NM. If he wins TWO states tonight, that will be something the media won't be able to ignore.

I'd like to keep the primaries interesting and full of choices for longer.

Good luck tonight Clark supporters.

8. Go, Wes. The last time I cared about a candidate this much, it was JFK.
