With all this news coming out with Chaney and Rove this question has
come to mind.


With the investagation on Chaney and perhaps turning to Bush... Does an impeachment process happen before Fitz can indict or will an indictment force impeachment...


Also who will become VP when Chaney is indicted.

5. Cheney remains Veep until he resigns or is removed after impeachment
Or, barring that, until noon, January 20, 2009.

If the office becomes vacant for any reason the President (let's not say who that means; it might be a real President rather than a White House squatter) will send a nomination to Congress which will must be approved by amjority vote in both Houses of Congress under the provisions of the 25th Amendment.
