Winning VS Whining AND Getting DEMs Elected VS Getting USofA Back
WE THE PEOPLE need to get OUR Country back on track.

MOST of the time WE understand that, but occasionally WE get sidetracked.

When WE get sidetracked, WE start in on each other like a pack of snarling dogs. It has to stop. NOW.

OK, now that we have THAT problem solved.... ha ha.

What is the difference between WINNING and WHINING?

Here is the only example of a "good whine" I can think of: "WHY CAN'T YOU DEMS be more like JOHN CONYERS? He's been fighting for OUR Rights since day one whether anyone pays attention or not.

But not being happy with the DLC (which most people agree COULD BE our best chance to pick a "REAL WINNER" for US if they would actually show US a DEM candidate that doesn't have to abandon the principals of Democracy to get the nod) is NOT the same as "Whining".

Those focused on TRULY WINNING are not just complaining about the way things are going, they are bringing up or looking for winning strategies.

Is it a "WIN" if WE get a DEM in office who supports the DLC agenda AS IS?

I don't think so.

What I suggest is:

1) That WE Bombard the DLC with our ideas of better agendas and candidates and OUR reasons for supporting them.

2) That WE tell the DLC that ANY candidate the PEOPLE will VOTE for had better support a Fair and Transparent Voting Process --- OR it is USELESS for us to cast our vote for that candidate.

Because ANY candidate who likes the current rigged system is either too stupid to run the country..... (Been there, had that done to us. THANK you - not again.)
--- OR ---
ANY candidate who likes the rigged system is in cahoots and is confident they will be elected no matter how we vote. In that case they don't need our effort door knocking or at the polls or even our financial support because they can just manufacture the votes in cyberspace and be done with it.

3) That we continue to EDUCATE ourselves on DUE Process and quit getting upset over strategies that don't involve an instant solution.

This case that Fitzgerald is fighting has every potential of delivering US the EVIDENCE needed to bring about IMPEACHMENT for anyone involved. Look at how long he has been PATIENTLY building his case and how careful his every step is.

WE THE PEOPLE gotta be more like Fitz.

Get the FACTS. Spell it out. Document the lies.
Give the rethugs rope to hang themselves.
Then deliver our own indictments to the world or our neighborhood in a clear and precise way that is all about restoring this nation to sanity and NOT about payback.
WE THE PEOPLE need to be more like "just doing my job" Fitz and face up to our responsibilities to get informed and hold our leaders accountable for their high crimes of treason against US.

4) WE THE PEOPLE need to be lavish in our support of those WHO DO GET IT.

Conyers
Boxer
Feingold
Kennedy

Fitz

There are many more.

The generals who have stood up against the administration's WaR OF Choice.

Reporters who have died in IRAQ trying to bring us the TRUTH.

Scientists and others who risk their careers and maybe their lives to bring us the FACTS.

Soldiers who put themselves in harms way because they believed America needed them.

FINALLY ---- TO WIN WITHOUT HONOR is to NOT "WIN" at all.

If we "get our country back" only by becoming those whose behavior drove US to fight back in the first place, then we have lost ourselves and have only re-gained the land beneath our feet, not the Heart and Soul of America.

1. Russ Feingold has the best chance out of the 4 you mentioned, IMHO
I'd support him if he won the Dem nomination; he whups ass.

2. I mean "Support" in a general sense, but I get you.
I mean in the day to day instead of looking for who did what wrong, go and see who is doing things right and say, "Hey! Great job."

There is another post here about the "Kentucky Apocalypse" that has another FITZMAS coming up. THEIR Attorney General is taking out everyone, even the Governor who set up a "crony shop" and someone had the guts to gather the emails to prove it.

EVERY road that leads to getting out the truth and putting the crooks and liars in jail even if only for this election cycle helps our cause in getting DEMS who will stand up for US elected.

3. Clarification: Though I would vote for CONYERS for Pres....
My list was just about giving positive comments and emails to the offices of and letters to the editors about:

those DEMS off the top of my mind who consistently put the needs of America ahead of their political agendas or whose political agendas have always included our needs.

4. even if the dem you have to vote for is a shithead
a majority still puts Conyers in charge of
his committee.

so don't let perfection be the enemy of the good.

5. In the FINAL analysis, YES. However..... we have 2 years to work it out.

I live in MN - a state where my FORMER "Democratic" Mayor of St Paul, Randy Kelly took money from the RNC and supported Bush in 2004.

Point in fact also. Norm Coleman ran as a DEM in NY and got elected in MN as a DEM and then turned coat to red.

IF Hilary is a DINO for instance, and gets elected President... She is not stupid like the one we have now. How cleverly could she damage the country while speaking "all the right words" that people want to hear?

I WANT AN HONEST CANDIDATE from the DLC. Don't think it's too much to ask. A REAL Candidate that will set Conyers loose, maybe even put him on as VP is more to my taste. If the DLC says it's "OUR Leadership Party" it damm well should listen to what we want.

Tell you what. If Hilary is there to clean up FAUX, then he should show his true support for DEMS and start giving up the real news instead of the crap he's showing.

If Murdoch were to turn over a new leaf and get into honest NEWs reporting, then I will believe that the DLC has a workable plan. Otherwise they are just another schill trying to screw America and I'll stand up to them as I would anyone else.

I still think we need to work within the system to fix it, but I'm not mad at the people who are saying it's broke anymore than I'm mad at the whistle-blowers who are telling me about the lies of the administration.

I just think we need to get constructive about it and tell the DLC what is acceptable and what is not, because THEY are what we have to work with in the next 2 years.

6. Wow...
if only progressives like you had their own version of the DLC to promote...oh, that's right you do, but even you progressives don't seem to give a shit about what they've got to say.

Hence this endless snivelling about the DLC.
