bullshit they contrive. No matter what big banner they hang, or what lies come out of his mouth this time...Bush is falling in the polls, in popularity, in support. He's falling.

It won't matter what he says next week or tomorrow or any other day...he's sinking.

1. Don't agree.
His base is starting to erode. If he does something fanatical enough, the base will come back to him immediately. That's what makes him so dangerous (that and his stupidity).

2. Catch & kill Osama or lower gas prices to $1.19 a gallon, maybe.

3. That might work. Personally, I don't think OBL will be caught...
not because we couldn't find him, but because * is friends with the Sauds and won't allow it. Just my opinion.

6. He can't lower gas prices.
All his socio-political moves have put pressure on the petro market to increase the wholesale price of crude. He would have to do a complete about face to move it lower. That ain't likely to happen because "the decider" has decided to "stay the course".

4. Nothing will bring back his approval ratings
Actually there are things he could do to reverse the slide, but we all know he is unwilling to do them. More and more people are seeing through his phony act. I don't think even another attack or an invasion of Iran would give him more than a small, temporary uptick.

7. Except when he gives the signal to drop gas prices drastically in August
or maybe as early as July. Wait and see.

This is partly why Big Oil has jacked the price of gasoline up so high in such a short time...not only to make enough obscene profits again but to be enable a future lowering of prices just in time for the November elections.

10. He won't be able to back his words with action.

The Guard is fighting in Iraq. The states want their Guard to stay home to help with local problems. This speech will be all talk and no action. It just shows how desperate they have become.

But then again this would give the freepers a chance to put their butts where their mouths are. Any anti illegal immigrant types here on DU willing to join the Guard and chase illegals bach across the Rio Grande or would you prefer I call it the Big River? Be careful though, this just could be a way to increase the Guard and give Bushbots more cannon fodder for Iraq.
