Liberals & corporations in bed together
Edited on Sat May-13-06 07:21 AM by William769
On the immigration issue. Grant you for different reasons which puts Bush smack dab in the middle of his his base & corporations.

Daddy always told me that politics made strange bedfellows.

4. I was thinking that maybe there was another thread detailing how...
...liberals and corps were in bed together on the immigration issue. Actually, I think I can infer what you are getting at--Democrats and the cheap-labor-republicans appear to be opposed to the "national security and minuteman republicans". Is that what you were getting at?

5. Why would you think it is for different reasons?
I remember when the same thing was said about NAFTA. The repubs wanted NAFTA for cheap labor but the dems just want to HELP the Mexican people. So what we have is a majority of US citizens who oppose our immigration and trade policies yet the majority never gets any satisfaction, just lip service about "different reasons" why both sides support the same corporate position.

What a joke.

Edited on Sat May-13-06 07:50 AM by jonnyblitz
many freepers and Minuteman/Militia/Far Right Navitivists/xenophobes in bed together. Are they in bed together for different reasons or are the reasons the same? THAT is the more interesting question for me.

7. Once again. Its a matter of legal vs. illegal.
Why is that so hard to understand?
