Guiliani backs Blackwell in Ohio.
Blackwell Time
from the Cleveland Plain Dealer:

Likely presidential candidates continue to line up behind Republican gubernatorial candidate Ken Blackwell, hoping his conservative base of support will take a liking to them, too.

U.S. Senator John McCain endorsed Blackwell last year and more recently hosted a fund-raiser for him. Now, Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani wants in.

"America needs governors like Ken Blackwell," he said in a statement endorsing Blackwell. "His steadfast leadership will make Ohio an economic powerhouse again and will serve as a brilliant example of what can be accomplished when leaders demonstrate courage of conviction."

Blackwell is kicking back some praise, calling Giuliani an “American Hero” (Isn’t that McCain’s title?).

Referring to the mayor’s leadership following the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center, Blackwell said, “Rudy Giuliani was the right leader at the right time for New York City and our nation."

6. I guess 9-11 didn't change EVERYTHING.
Giuliani did indeed transcend himself in the way he responded. He really WAS the nation's leader at that time, while the coward Bush was completely ineffectual. He did a good job of it. He was "America's Mayor," when we really needed someone to stay cool and stay in charge.

But the glow has long since worn off, I guess, and he's changed back into his own conniving self.

Ken Blackwell's crowd of crazies would burn New York City to the ground, if they could. All in the "Lord's" name, of course. And Giuliani knows it. A man of abiding integrity would at least stay silent on the Blackwell candidacy. He certainly wouldn't be licking his boots, and gushing with praise.

Rudy Giuliani really was a hero during 9-11, for a while. But I guess it didn't last. You'd think an experience like that would change a man forever. But it didn't. Now he's just another politician out to play the game again.

Sad.

8. I know I am not supposed to use this word
but Guiliani is a Nazi. As power hungry as Bush, but a hell of a lot smarter. Would not need a Cheney.
