Rep Duncan Hunter loves the regular military the best

said so on Wash. Journal this a.m.

that's why he thinks the regular army should be paid more then the Reserves or Natl. Guard. he really said that. they can die the same and get injured the same but not paid the same.

he also said GI food over in Iraq was better then airline food.

he doesn't see anything wrong in Afghanistan. said Afghanistan is now more "mature". whatever that means.

he too, along with Grassley bad mouthed a caller. Duncan's caller was against the war. Duncan blathered his bad mouthing.

1. I do agree on one point...
MREs are, in fact, better than airplane food :P

2. he wasn't refering to MREs - said he ate with the troops and they had

steak and surprise, seafood.

he never mentioned the troops drinking the sewer water episode.

he did say that in the field the MREs were better then the old ones.

7. Shows what a fucking idiot he is
Surf and turf are ALWAYS on the menu when a CODEL shows up. Then, after they are gone, it's back to fetid turkey trichinosis. This is SOP in war or peace.

If a CODEL wants to really see how it's going, they should ask the troops what has been on the menu for the last month or so....

3. Airlines don't serve food anymore
They've chopped up flights into teeny-tiny legs so they don't have to serve food anymore. At least, the public carriers that serve the hoi polloi. I imagine the planes Mr. Hunter is accustomed to flying on probably have very fine provender.
