I just saw Bush's statement on the NSA flap on teevee. He had, what to me, was a strage demeaner about him. I don't even know how to describe it. Desperate? Scared? Defiant? I'm just not sure. But it was different. And scary.

I'm still of a mind that we have been taken over by a silent sort of coup. It happened in the 2000 elections when these people took over outrgovernment by a seemingly unusual technicality in the election counting.

No matter.

What we now face are cornered rats. They're working to maintain their death grip on our government - and by extension, on We The People.

We are witnessing either a genuine defection among their former supporters or we are watching a brilliantly orchestrated charade to make it appear there is opppsition. The good news would be that it is a genuine defection. The bad news would be a charade. But even good news can be bad news. If there is a defection and if the cabal sees that defection threatening their hold, we may be in for some VERY grim times.

We could see our military in our streets.

We could see our leaders in jail. First the grass roots leaders, then the elected opposition leaders.

For the cabal, opposition will lead to investigations which will lead to criminal accusations which will lead to criminal charges which will lead to trials which will lead to convictions which will lead to more of the same ... for even the greatest among them. A full out, empowered oppostion coalesced from the entirety of the political spectrum could well lead to War Crimes, Treason, and Crimes Against Humanity charges against the king himself.

They **will** **not** **allow** that to happen.

At all costs.

1. I saw some odd things in his speech pattern
It was just a little bit like the speeches he gives to Congress, where he lies his ass off. He was trying very hard to be earnest and believeable. But the Bushes have a "tell" in their manner. Poppy does it, too. When they are lying hard, they affect a sort of lisp on the letter S. Actually, Rumsfeld does it, too, and Nixon used to do it, and I noticed it in Janet Reno. The tongue goes to a different place on the letter S when they are not speaking the truth. It's subtle, but I've watched it for years.

3. On the rerun ......
.... yes, that funny 's' sound is there. but so are shifty eyes and a weird tone and timbre in his voice.

8. Yeah, that's what I noticed, too
that shifty eye flick to the right .... and not just once.

He looked totally weaselly.

If I were a juror and he were on trial, that would have been my cue to vote to convict.

He seemed to be very defensive...and scared... As if he was ordered to come out immediately and explain this situation. How many people still believe him? He's a proven liar.

I totally agree with you.....these people are neither Republicans or Democrats: they are something purely evil. Their intention all along has been to destroy the country, and they're doing a fine job of it. They've hatched up the slogans and the buzz words that set us against each other while they are busy doing what they're really there to do. These are scary times and I fear they will only get scarier when they realize we're on to them. They have proven they are capable of whatever it takes, haven't they??

10. We are in the midst of a tipping point
Things are changing fast. History is being made, right now.

Unfortunately it's still not clear what kind of history will be written. It's up to us citizens to write it.

If I weren't about to have surgery, now is the time I'd be organizing something in my community -- a protest, perhaps. Perhaps I'd collect signatures on the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. I'm frustrated by being stuck, with my health.

I am hopeful that the end result will be positive. Support is slipping from the president, and some recent events suggest to me that some very powerful people in intelligence and the military have chosen their duty to the constitution over their duty to the president. At the same time, yes, we don't yet know what the cornered rats will do.

11. I agree
I listen to RW talk radio at work. I know I shouldn't (cause I'm going to suddenly start screaming someday and everyone will think I've gone nuts. I've been able so far to restrict it to under-breath muttering). But I think of it like putting on headphones to spy on the enemy. You don't like what you hear but you're listening for the "tone" of the so-called discussions. And I definitely don't like the tone.

And good luck with your surgery.
