Ohio primary aftermath for Dennis Kucinich
Those from Ohio who find DK our god- like leader. How did the primary vote turn out for Dennis. I know he won the primary vote decisively. But, what about the aftermath.Doing a search in the "Plain Dealer," I find little but vote totals . Does DK have much of a challenge from here on out. It is now overwhealmingly a Democratic district now? Has Ferris gone away for good?
And what about the role of the "Plain Dealer." They turned out to be pretty sleazy? Unnecessary name calling and giving wacko critics too much news play? Something about DK being a communist.?
Did a search. Found no news story that informative. Appreciate an update.

2. was not the professionalism of the Plain Dealer
at an all time low. What years ago, Plain Dealer in collusion with those trying to buy out the municipal electric service?

3. The PLAIN DEALER plays Sheriff of Nottingham to Dennis' Robin Hood.
He's too smart for those staid people on their editorial boards. They've hated him for years, but he prevails no matter what.

4. Great comparison!
They made fools of themselves, as usual.

Barbara Ferris probably won't go away. Her campaign was largely backed by Tony George, a local restaurant owner who fancies himself a political player. He supports both Dem and GOP (mostly GOP) officials, whoever is willing to help him grow his restaurant empire. For some reason, he's always had a problem with Dennis. George owns restaurants in a nightclub district (the Flats) near downtown Cleveland. He closed his clubs and restaurants after getting in trouble for serving under age kids and chose to sit on the property, keeping most of the entertainment district closed, trying to force elected officials to approve casino gambling. Its in Dennis' Congressional district, he's probably mad at Dennis for not helping him get casino gambling approved (just my guess). If he had his way, he'd probably want to see prostitution legalized too.

Bottom line, none of the Dem elected officials (mayor, county commissioners, etc) wanted to see George keep controlling the Flats because he was so willing to let the area turn seedy just so he could make a fast buck.

As for the Plain Dealer, they're always willing to support anyone who bashes Dems, including bottom feeders like Tony George.

5. Tony George sounds like a self-important player who doesn't
always play by the rules, or prefers rules to his own liking.

Good for Dennis to oppose casino gambling. Doesn't seem like Cleveland is the very best spot for it.

I wish Dennis Kucinich the longest of all possible careers in public life. He's a champion.

6. Forget who Dennis' predecesor was

But, that Repug was voted dumbest member of Congress, the year DK beat him..Kobe or something like that? Hope the district is going increasingly Democratic. Cleveland is split into two congressional districts. Is one more Repug than the other? and what's up. I see a Democratic primary candidate in the other Cleveland district with the last name of Kucinich.
Can't have enough Kucinich's ! I will always be heart broken the country can't see such an honest Pol as Dennis.
Unless A Repug gov gerrymanders' Dennis seat, we are lucky enough to have him in public office for years to come?
As the author Studds Terkel says, if the US can not select a real populist like Dennis, it is the countries' problem, not Dennis'.
If he can't be president, I think the most important job for DK is chair of the House Foreign Relations Committee and not stuck in some dead end Cabinet seat, where he would have to hue some presidential directive.
Ever in Cleveland, remeber not to eat at these restaurants in the flats.
