That's what I told them when they called me today. And get this, the guy I talked to had no idea who Stephen Colbert was. How out of touch can they be? Christ.

"I'm going to quit the party" and "I'm never going to give money" threads there are....and of course it has nothing to do with the Democrats having a double digit lead in the polls.

3. Differences friend.
Colbert is followed by puppets and guys gettin' kicked in the crotch, the DNC is an important part of the U.S. political system.

Colbert makes great jokes and jabs because it's his job. The DNC's job is to be diplomatic and be reasonable.

14. Dean has been very outspoken
he's been doing a great job. But he can't control the elected Dems in Congress, at least not unless he controls more money than they do.

13. You're not donating because the caller didn't know Colbert?
DNC is doing a great job of reinvigorating our grassroots organizations in all 50's states. There's nothing at all wrong with that agenda.

Care to be more specific?

22. Donate directly to candidates, Avoid the DNC and the DLC.

They are the problem, we must support people who listen and have a spine to fight the RW corporatocracy.

27. And that supports your belief amongst the people how?
It doesn't build an infrastructure so that people can get assistance with prospective campaigns. Instead, it requires any potential candidate to have a large base of monetary support coming out of the gate. In better words, your suggestion requires politicians to be rich or connected. Well, some people might be of the opinion that the rich and connected are the problem. I know I am.

You do realize you just recommended "decentralization" and "union-busting," right?

What's wrong with a little collective bargaining?

Give to whomever you please. You'll get no pat on the back for your decision or your post from me.

Those who donate to the DNC are helping to fund the state parties and their grassroots organizers. That's helping here in Maine and in every state in the country.

Why oh why do I even read these posts. Bad MaineDem! :banghead:

And more than half of the DNC is female and I don't think they even want testicles.
