Lemme tell ya what I really hate about Keith Olberman .....
I hate it that he's on MSNBC instead on that (or any other) network's evening news, doing the exact same show.

He is, without a doubt, the prototype for a network anchor in this day and time. He's as serious as the story warrants, he 'demands' your attention, and he's not afraid of a story.

Keith ... Katie ..... Keith .... Katie ...... hmmmmm ......

1. He pisses off too many pro-corporate bigwigs on the board of GE
They would rather he shut up and not attack the president who gave them tax cuts and huge defense contracts to build more bombs and war machines, but as long as he gets the ratings up, they'll leave him alone.

12. And ratings are **exactly** what he would get on a non-cable anchor gig
His delivery and style is exactly what will appeal to many of the 18-24 and 24-54 white male demos. He's a smart-ass but in a nice, non-threatening way. He used to be a sports guy, so that's a plus. He gets righteously indignant or deadly serious when a story warrants.

He's never boring and he never, ever wonks it up.

I am quite serious .... I think he would quickly be the **the** number one network anchor just because he's so far out of the box that he's designed a whole new one.

5. Personally

I am not overly happy with his producers, as he is prone to mention himself.
He spends far too much time on nonsense issues such as any idiot movie star who happens to be making an ass of themselves on any given day.
While 33% of his show is right on, the rest sucks.

6. But he's not afraid to voice his own
displeasure about covering the crap....He's the only one that takes a good jab at the current mess this country is in and he's entertaining to boot...

14. he told me in an e-mail once at the beginning of this gig...
...that if he got the ratings numbers, he would have editorial control. So I guess not quite enough of us are watching yet.

7. Ageed, but what with the obsession with O'Liely?
Why does he give that mo fo the time of day? Seems beneath him and his talent.

9. LOL. Look at it this way: he's got more freedom to do the show his way
on MSNBC.

11. He DOES have complete freedom to put on whatever he wants.
He's gone on the record as saying so. I can only conclude that when he says his producers are forcing him to cover celebrity fluff, it's a joke. HE's covering it. He CHOOSES to cover it because he enjoys having a few humorous moments in the show in which to snark on the stupidity of famous people.

And O'Reilly deserves all the jabs he gets. Did you hear his latest, with Michelle Malkin? They've decided that if California textbooks are required to include information about historically prominent LGBT people, it will mean that no one will be allowed to criticize Jeffrey Dahmer anymore in the classroom, but will have to say only good things about him!

Where do they GET this stuff from????
