Poll question: Will high officials, past and present, of this administration be indicted?
People like Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Wolfowitz, and even George W. Bush?

1. The corruption runs too deep
If the Democrats ever regain power, they will spend their time correcting the wrongs, brining the country back toward the track.

3. The top priority in correcting wrongs (after getting our of Iraq)
is to jail the wrongdoers to stop the bleeding. Like in Iraq, if you don't take firm control immediately, it'll all go to shit.

2. Yes, but only if we can replace some of our spineless Dem "leaders."
My list, far from complete:
Bush, Cheney, Rove, Libby (oops, already indicted), Rumsfool, Wolfowitz, Gonzales, Whitman...

and for starters from Congress:
Frist, Delay (oops), Cunningham (oops again), Rick Sanctimonium, ...

4. There might be no way to keep our corporate sponsors out of it
Edited on Wed May-10-06 11:49 AM by kenny blankenship
--if there were a thorough investigation of the principals involved in the Bush coup d'etat, and the subsequent wargy. If there were some Democratic party donors found floating in the stew of corruptions Bush has cooked up during his 8 years (and the odds are good that there would be since most corporations like to donate some to both parties to keep influence) there would be reluctance to cut at the hand that forcefeeds us. Even just naming names among corporations that are not donors to Democrats could further alienate our party's moneylenders and pimps from those "business-hating Dems".

5. The truth will change depending on who has power at any given moment
With Repubs in control of all arms of government, there's little to bring about indictments beyond what we've seen so far. A dribble here a drip there.

With Dems in power, there will be serious investigations. That will bring criminal acts to light and the whole bunch could go down.

We are, right now, on the cusp of potential change. In such times, little or nothing will ahppen as the country simply holds its breath.

11. Truth is truth, to disregard it is perception management-or some variant.
Truth is independent of all else.

6. I actually have faith that they will be charged eventually....

The war against Iraq is an undisguised crime against humanity. Surely someone will indict the Bush cabal for their crimes, just as Charles Taylor and Slobodan Milosevic were indicted.

7. Gonzales, he knew wiretapping was illegal
and he proceeded anyway. SCOTUS would never uphold the NSA program if it ever got to them, (it won't).

8. Depends...
...on whether they make it an official dictatorship by stealing the midterms this fall. If they can't subvert the electoral process -- again -- I think the Dems will launch some serious investigations, which will inevitably lead to impeachment and an epidemic of indictments.

10. They got away with it twice before.
Watergate, and Iran-Contra.

Maybe the third time is the charm, but I doubt it. When they can corrupt our elections and buy off our media, what leverage do we have against them?

12. Karl Rove. And what about Larry Libby?
I think Karl is going down unless he talks. That leads us to Cheney. His arrogance may not shield him if enough comes out.

13. Kick.
How about Rove?

The search and confiscation of some of Foggo's items at his home and former office are interesting.
