6. Bin Laden calls for a "holy war" in sudan a few weeks before the US
calls for a "peacekeeping" force. Its a total joke.

7. What Do You Find Humorous, Sir?
There has been diplomatic pressure aimed at a U.N. force there for many months, and for good cause. The Khartoum regime is a hard-line fundamentalist one, one of the first wave of such, and for a while sheltered Bin Laden.

9. The cause is not the point for the US "diplomatic" pressure so to speak
It is always underlying motivation. Sudan has a decent oil reserve, is well situated in North Africa and is totally out of American hands. I thinks its not coincidental that a "Bin Laden Tape" comes out advocating for fighting several weeks before the US "OFFICIALLY" asks for a peacekeeping force.

BTW from the first point I read the April Bin Laden transcript I've been waiting for the Sudan connection.

11. You Will Need To Be More Clear, Sir, If You Mean To Communicate
Is it your view that the Bin Laden statement was made on the order of the U.S., or that it was wholly contrived by the U.s. without reference to the fellow at all?

12. See Statement 11. The tape was "authenticated" withing a few hours of
being aired on Al Jz just like every other tape. I don't buy that for a second.

17. Plain English Is Always Preferable, Sir
It lets all concerned know just where everybody stands.

Now that you are on record as maintaining it was concocted by the U.S. for some specific purpose, would you care to state what you believe that purpose is, and how you believe the thing was contrived?

a multi-billion dollar budget. The CIA authenticated the tape. Do you trust them?...I don't...Why Would I...I can also say that Elvis is alive and doing show tunes in China. The Rumor spreads far enough.....

19. The Purpose, Sir: What Is The Purpose?
There does not seem any compelling resason to doubt the statement was made, though there are certainly some who doubt it, nor does there seem any compelling reason to view the statement as not reflecting a jihadist view of the situation in Sudan.

What remains unc;ear is what you believe was the purpose of the U.S. government in doing this, and also, by what means the deed was contrived.

In addition if you view the Axis of Evil all are coutries out of the direct conrol of the US and West. Venezuela has since fallen into this category and we've worked hard to retain India another important focal point. Its a matter of control.

21. These Are Simple Facts, Sir
Edited on Tue May-09-06 08:33 PM by The Magistrate
They are not a purpose. To make them shed light on any purpose, you must supply a theory that makes them relevant to a particular design that is served by the imposture you say you believe to be the case in this matter.

23. Frequently, Sir, But You Are Mistaking Categories
A fact is not a lesser thing than a theory: a theory is a principle of organization that gives meaning to facts. It is the latter you are failing to supply. The Sudan is vast tract of arid land. It is riven by longstanding ethnic hostilities and religious hostilities, many rooted in different means of getting a living. These, too, are facts, and of themselves, mean no more or less than those you have adduced, because they are stated independently of any clear theory that would accord them signifigance.

You would best serve your case here by resorting again to plain English, and simply stating for what purpose you believe this thing you say you believe is a contrivance was executed.

24. I think the theory and reality of globalization is more or less the key..
I don't see this as a huge leap of logic....Globalization is a coming and current reality...The lord and master of Bush/Cheney are """Global""" Corporations.

To make the "facts" reality you take the current situation and plan several moves ahead....

It will be hard to avoid the conclusion you do not state the purpose plainly because you fear the sound it would have in the ears of others.

They do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery....

But mechanical imitation will gain you no points.

You have stated you believe something was contrived to serve a purpose. Why do you not simply state this purpose you believe it was contrived to serve, plainly?

10. See Bruce Lawrence
Bin Laden expert skeptical about latest purported bin Laden tape

by Amber Rupinta, WTDV-TV -- Durham, NC

Jan. 19, 2006

A Duke professor says he is doubtful about Thursday's audiotape from Osama bin Laden. Bruce Lawrence has just published Messages to the World: The Statements of Osama Bin Laden, a book translating bin Laden's writing. He is skeptical of Thursday's message.

"It was like a voice from the grave," Lawrence said.

He has doubts about the tape, and thinks bin Laden is dead. Lawrence recently analyzed more than 20 complete speeches and interviews of the al Qaida leader for his book. He says the new message is missing several key elements.
