Congratulations to Edwards Folks for SC Win: A 2 Man Race?
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 07:14 PM by WiseMen
Edwards Campaign folk are saying it is now a 2 man race. Calling it a Strong Victory. Expecting to win OK as well.

Edwards is proving he is a great campaigner. Is it now a Kerry/Edwards race?
Should Kerry continue to avoid campaigning against Edwards or should he take the Edwards surge seriously and start contrasting credentials?

Edward's supporters are very enthusiastic. How serious is Edwards when he suggests that Kerry should consider being HIS V.P.

3. That's what the Edwards campaign is hoping
And if they win Oklahoma, that could very well be the media's spin too.

8. He'll have his day again.
Dukakis Jr. and Clinton Jr. can only go so far until people get sick of their tired political plays.

10. Congrats!
Edwards was my first choice until Clark entered the race. He remains a very strong second in my book.

14. It's sort of a LANDSLIDE for Edwards.
Glad he's doing so well in the South. I guess those people didn't buy the Confederate flag ploy from the 5%er.

19. Could be
But Virginia polls from just a frew days ago have Kerry with a rather commanding lead there:

Kerry 32%
Clark 17%
Edwards 17%
Dean 14%
Sharpton 9%
other 6%
undecided 5%

Survey USA 1/27-29 3.3 MoE

And that leaves about a week to go. The polls have been fairly accrate this year, as they really got slammed for getting it so wrong in 2000 they are really watching everything and making sure that as little bias as possible creeps in (the pollsters are watching their telephone staff like hawks).
I really dont think we are gong to see too many surprises from the polls this year.

18. "Credentials" at this level are probably not very important
Edited on Tue Feb-03-04 07:41 PM by spooky3
to most voters. None of our candidates dropped out of high school--we have a restricted range of people with diverse but highly impressive credentials.

If you look at the past few elections, the person who had the best "credentials" did not necessarily win the election.

20. Clark still could eek out a victory in OK.
Edwards sadly will get a "landslide" victory story headline but not very true. Edwards was born in SC, JK topped him further in NH his backyard state when JRE was 4th in comparision.
