The Voice of someone who voted for *
I'm afraid to find out the truth because it might make me angry. I don't listen to bad news on TV because I might get upset. Nothing can shake my faith in this country, so don't try me! I don't pay attention to bad news about *, because I don't want to know...
Don't bother me with the truth! I can't take it.

1. Cognitive Dissonance and Psychological Denial.
Not to worry, soon it will graduate to Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome.

7. Seems...
whoever would say and mean something like what was written (in the main post) is indeed in a rough spot, but is admitting an unwanted awareness their world is based on an illusion and that they're vaguely aware or suspicious that the real world isn't in as good a shape as their leaders would have them believe; they're just scared to really look and angry at the possibility that they've contributed to the sorry state of affairs they don't want to see. The beginnings of disillusionment... actually, it's a good sign; someone's inching towards joining the reality based community. The situations the poster is hopefully pretending to experience is one that's likely becoming more and more common in the republican ranks (and probably why this thread was originally written--at least, for their sake I hope it was an example of irony/impersonation and reference to what's probably happening to many republi-confused-ians).

Oh, and I hope you meant your post to refer to the original poster in this thread; I don't think I'm either in bad shape or need any republican kook or kool-ade, and can't take more than a minute or two of FAUX SNOOZE (without which I suspect 1/3 of the other side might regain at least a small part of their sense of reality; funny how obvious and absurd their bias/lies/illusions are to us, while so many are equally easily misled by them--seeming proof that republicanism is a cognitive disorder (or at least cognitive dysfunction is a symptom of the same)).

8. To begin is the easy part...the healing process is in 4 stages...
Denial

Anger

Compromise

Acceptance...healing, to become a better person.....

Some go for the 5th stage...to help others make the shift...to give back, I suppose...

9. Or typical management.
When you tell them of a problem, they say "no long details, just a brief statement and I'll ask for details if I see fit."

Then they don't follow up and whine that when the problem worsens, they weren't given enough information.

Sometimes I wonder why bother getting out of bed in the morning.
