I remember the Fla. exit polls had the media calling Florida for Gore, too. (after trashing each in its "coverage" - sigh=scream?)

One thing's for sure, either the exit polls were wrong, or the final vote tallies were wrong.

I'm not so sure which I believe in either case.

(then again, I was a tinfoilhatter before I ever came to DU)

8. I think the MSNBC exit polls are more recent than the numbers posted
on the web site. Those could be from the afternoon.

I don't know what the exit polls said really early on, but I do remember that once more than 20% of the precincts were in the numbers only fluctuated by a percent or two for the rest of the night.
