Be DAMNED wary of our new found 'friends' on the right
They're all slamming Bush for a brazillian reasons.

He spends too much.

Iraq is a disaster.

Immigration reform? He's got to be kidding.

Scandals and corruption? Tsk-tsk-tsk. Over reaching, as usual.

Rudderless and leaderless.

Bygawd, they're gunna lose the House and they're bygawd resigned to it. Probably even the Senate, maybe. It could happen. Gunna lose it all.

And then, in EVERY FUCKING INSTANCE OF THIS GRAND NEW TAWKING POINT is this liddle jewel, right at the end. The last thought they leave for you:

Yeah. We're gunna lose it all. The Dems will take over. And we'll finally get those investigations everyone wants. And maybe impeachment, too. Its gonna be a long time till the next shift change at the factory of government.

********

This is all about getting their base reinvigorated. And it is planned. And it is orchestrated. And it is insidious. And it is centrally controlled.

And it just might work.

The **only** encouragement I can take from this is we now know for sure they got ...... nothing.

They reach into their pants pocket and they find nothing but limp dicks.

Nothing.

Outta gas.

1. Of course. They don't want to lose the House and Senate
so they're distancing themselves from Bush's failures.

2. Oh We Will Weild the Law Like a Fucking Sword
and deal with these mothafuckers one by one if need be. Like others have already said, we should RICO the whole GOP (major money changers). We have a pretty good case.

4. I happen to thinnk we can ake a solid case for several crimes even more
serious.

Treason (the coup of 2000 and the re-coup of 2004)(I am very serious about calling mthose elections 'coups'.)

Crimes against Humanity (Gitmo and Abu Ghraib, to say nothing of the Iraq debacle)

High Crimes and Misdemeanors (looting the Treasury)

These crimes are beyond impeachable. They're truly criminal and deserve court procedings and jail time ... if not more.

3. So if the base keeps voting for Republicans,
and the rest of us vote Dem, what's the harm? It's 30% against 70%, and that is a fraud-proof majority. I don't believe they can flip more than 5% of the vote without being caught.

9. A brazillian reasons?
Hmm... Brazil is the country with the most costmetic surgeries per capita of any country in the world, by far.

So "a brazillian reasons" means that the reasons are all just for the sake of appearances?

10. In this context, 'brazillian' has a similar etymology as
'moran'.

11. Exactly--we can almost predict the TPs as they get more desperate.
Even bringing up the "H" word failed for them.

Grasping at straws...

15. Their base and a dollar will get you a cup of cheap coffee.
They need independents.

Right now, the Republicans are just trying to stop the bleeding of the base -- and nothing seems to work.

17. Relentless ads about Bush's corruption would render Repugs shamed and...
...they wouldn't have the energy or inspiration to vote for their Repug candidates. We must pound the message HARD.

18. every damned thing having to do with public policy these days . . .
is based strictly and exclusively on politics, e.g. "energizing their base" . . .

in good times and bad -- but particularly in times of crisis -- real leadership demands ignoring politics and doing what's right . . . as in when LBJ forced through the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act . . . or when JFK federalized the National Guard in the South during the Civil Rights era . . .

we need that kind of bold, enlightened leadership today . . . and I don't see it ANYWHERE . . . oh, a few Democrats are bold and enlightened on specific issues (e.g. Al Gore and the environment), but none of them are seeing the big picture -- recognizing the depth and breadth of the crisis (both national and worldwide) -- and acting accordingly (i.e. casting politics to the wind and proposing the the radical solutions to radical problems we so desperately need . . .

someone's gotta do it, or we'll destroy ourselves, other peoples, and the planet . . . and that's not hyperbole . . .
