We have someone running against red-headed "Opie" Adam Putnam...

in district 12, Florida. I have posted about him before, he is 5th in line in the Republican leader structure. I am sure many of you have seen him banging the gavel on C-Span in his little arrogant way. He is 30 years old, thinks he is superior to God.



Here is what I posted in the Florida forum, and if you want more contact info let me know. We are all excited here. Our party leaders have met with him, like him a lot.

He will be at our DFA meeting this Wednesday and at the Lakeland Democrats on Thursday night.

Ok, so Opie is a powerhouse, but we hope to make him use some of his money defending himself and not be able to give so much to other candidates. Make him work for it.

Howard Dean's philosophy in running everywhere is to make the rich Republicans spend their money on defending themselves instead of giving it to others.

They are both in the state legislative...it has been sort of a family thing. I don't think Opie is related to her.

We hope we can get organized enough to force him to spend some of it. There are a lot of Democrats in our area with the dough to do it if they will get off their duffs and fight.

Seriously, if he were black would you call him Sambo? If he were Jewish would you call him Hymey? If he were a woman... well, you get the point. I know the news is calling him Opie. I'll be visiting them soon.
