God, these right wingers are dumb!
Just read a post that is so dumb, it really needs to be seen to be believed.

http://www.exposetheleft.com/2006/04/24/kerry-troops-ieds/

On "This Week", Kerry wondered why American troops were still driving convoys on dangerous supply missions when we'd supposedly trained so many Iraqis who could do the job.

JOHN KERRY: "But there is no excuse three and a half years later for American troops to be driving by IEDs and getting blown up. Are you telling me that they can’t drive a truck?

Can you guess the right winger interpretation of this?

"John Kerry Said What: Our Troops Don’t Know How To Drive"

Yes, they actually think Kerry was saying our troops are too dumb to drive a truck.

My god, how do you deal with such willful stupidity? And why do these people take more glee in criticizing Kerry than saving American soldiers lives?

1. They don't understand the concept of
pronouns and referents.

This is actually proof that our schools are doing a piss poor job. Time to promote those vouchers!!

2. I'm not getting "stupid" from how they interpreted JK's remarks.

It was deliberate. They know Kerry didn't mean that our troops "are too dumb," but they saw an opening (in his use of "they" rather than "Iraqis") to both slam Kerry and further their agenda. They know that the true dumbasses out there will see the headline and accept it, further perpetuating their position that Kerry is an unpatriotic troop-hater.

4. EXACTLY. Watch their use of language and rhetoric;
They've become masters at it, I'm sorry to say.

Over and over on DU I say that language cannot be ignored.

This is yet another shining example of their exploitation of it.

5. Sometimes it's deliberate, but if you look at the comments...
...there's a lot of wingers in this thread who actually believe that Kerry is saying our troops are too dumb to avoid IEDs. "It's not like they put signs there," says one commenter. The problem with the remaining 32% is that they're not critical thinkers. They'll believe anything anyone tells them as long as it fits their Democrats-are-gay-communist-traitors worldview.

3. Twisting the words is the only way they can justify
their support of their chimp's war. It's like trying to explain the colour purple to someone born blind...
