My letter to ABC - This Week
I would like to comment that I saw the most unethical behavior of a journalist by
George Will on This Week's show with George Stephanopoulos on April 23rd.
This was using Mary O. McCarthy campaign contribution to smear her her leaking
information on secret U.S. prisons. This is not about democratic or republican.
So much about this is smearing and demonizing those who speak out against the
crimes of this administration. Yes, George Will deliberately going to war with
manipulated intelligence is a lie even if you are a republican. Does Mr. Will
support the collapse of this country into a Nazi (republic)an state. America is
not about rendition, torture or secret prisons. It is not about wiretapping, or
persecuting someone on their beliefs. It's about time, that he realized that this
is not a political game and is about the survival of this country as a democracy
and not as a police state.

no one's political contribution should impact on their guilt or innocence.

Let's see how this would go.

Your honor, this man robbed the bank on the 5th day of March, in the process of the robbery,
he shot and killed two tellers. Normally I would recommend the death penalty but since
he has contributed over $45,000 to the Bush Cheney 2004 campaign, I recommend leniency,
your honor.

7. also I have heard they have posted her home address &
a way to get directions to her house on the right wing sights, I hope these dark days are soon over. I am so tired of this extremist mentality devouring all our laws, rights to due process and persecuting those who try to put this country back on track.

from mythology. I can't think of the name right now. Oh, well, since it's Sunday I'll use a similar one in the Bible and settle with SATAN.

(edit: similar, since in the bible he actually appeared as a snake)

8. for well educated men to descend to this level is abhorrent
Why would he do this, just so that 1 party can maintain power; he would rubber stamp this.
30% of the people at GITMO are to be released because they are innocent. They have been
held for over 4 years, they have been tortured for hundreds of hours and they were INNOCENT,
completely innocent. Why isn't George Will not supporting those who speak out against this atrocity. Isn't this what American is supposed to stand for: the right to a fair trial.

4. We must speak out
We cannot let them continue with persecuting and demonizing those who speak up against
this mocking of everything we stand for. We must speak out now before it is too late.

First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me.

9. Thank you for getting the ball rolling
I've got a fundraiser that I'm helping to put on in a couple of hours and I'm running late. As soon as I get back I'll send them my thoughts on what George Will said too. I did watch it this morning and I got pissed too. If today weren't so hectic I'd been writing that missive now.

10. Please write them
You might also point out about their inflammatory question of Kerry:

On ABC's "This Week," the Massachusetts Democrat bridled when told an unnamed Democratic strategist said that, by supporting the status quo, "you're basically saying only white people's votes count in those early states."

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/wireStory?id=1880626

Actually this question was asked by the ("liberal????) George Stephanoupolos, he may have said that he was quoting an unnamed Dem Strategist, would this be anythng like Scooter Libby identifying himself as a former hill staffer. There currently is a movement to change the rules on primaries and they have given the invited states time to respond. I do think there needs to be an updating of our elections including eliminating the electoral college; but our main focus should be winning in 2006 not on procedures. Looks like you know who is already using the MSM as
his private bag of dirty tricks. Let's show him that this type of dirty politics doesn't work
anymore. And of course because it was a juicy politically charged question all the networks
picked it up.

11. I hate those blind quotes
If they have something to say, whey can't they put their name to it? Then Steph asks the person to respond to it, on the record as if it is a serious and responsible statement. Sigh.

13. It's like a push poll
it insinuates that the democrats are trying to lock blacks out of the voting process, this
is total baloney. This is after the Republicans stood by and let Katrina happen and denied
thousands the right to vote based on their race in 04. It's despicable. Once again their
campaign will be smear and the MSM their willing lackeys if we let them.

American Justice? Sure, so why is an attorney getting away with tampering with court documents even though he “inadvertently” filed three pages of emails detailing what was done with the court.

See for yourself: http://www.maximumadvocacy.com/Court_records.html , look on pages 25-27 of document 64.

Unbelievable. Priceless. Hilarious, if it wasn’t so sad but true.

How’s your faith in the justice system?

14. I understand but we still have to stand up
and it's wrong to bring up someone's political affiliation or donations when they are accused
of wrongdoing. We have to stand up for ethical treatment and a rule of law.

16. at least Baghdad Bob wore a uniform
this is the era of covert propaganda which is often distibuted by the MSM as objective analysis.
Edward R. Murrow would be ashamed of these so called journalists and pundits.
