What's the meeting going on right now with Rummy?
I keep hearing mentions of a meeting with Rummy, with retired military who speak on TV as military analysts. Supposedly it should let out soon, and then these people will discuss it.

Anybody have details? Is General Clark there? Is there video? Are the "rebellious six" Generals there? What's it about?

2. It's a PR meeting. Rummy is trying to get some good press from
the retired military who get paid as analysts for wild speculation, flat out guessing and especially for those serving Faux spinning fear into info-tainment.

4. Perhaps he'll present all the intelligence / blackmail he has "on them"
Perhaps they will "dummy up" after this meeting? If they do, kiss your ass good-bye, we're now in for a full fledged totalitarian government. If we lose the retired Generals, we're absolutely f**ked. :(

3. Wouldn't it be great if "conservatives"
actually listened to those with alternative opinions, especially of those who are literally experts in their fields.

I'm not familiar with the meeting you referenced but I would say its more for orchestration than education for rumsfeld. After all he's doing a heckuvajob.

6. I did find this...
http://www.kfmb.com/stories/story.46977.html

Meantime in Washington, Rumsfeld will meet with retired generals and military analysts at the Pentagon in an effort to defend the war.

(snip)

Tuesday's meeting will include remarks from top commanders in Iraq who will appear via satellite.

Definitely DOES sound like a spin session!!!

7. and this...
Rumsfeld is now going on the offensive. ABC News has learned he's holding an unusual meeting at the Pentagon with retired generals and other military analysts who often appear in the news.

He will likely reiterate some of the points made in an email, sent to the generals and others by the Pentagon's public relations operation. It argued Rumsfeld has given the military "unprecedented" involvement in "every decision-making process."

supply corps school to write him a reference about how the arena supervisors in Iraq don't know what they're talking about.

No, wait, that already happened, or close enough.

9. I highly doubt that General Clark will be there.
Remember the mem that was leaked from the Whitehouse after Clark entered the '04 primaries? It went like this:

"We have to neutralize Clark. Whether he wins or loses the primaries, we don't want him out there throwing fastballs at us."

(Many speculate that it was Richard Clarke who leaked this.)

I think that Ralston, who took Clark's place at CNN, has been invited. (He supported the war).

11. It's all about HOW to SPIN For BushInc - It is NOT about discussing ideas
to better serve military strategy in Iraq.
