4. Poor Lieberman. Lost his mojo a long time ago.
It makes me wonder how a Democrat becomes so unilateral in his thinking? A unilateral Democrat sounds like an oxymoron.

11. no he tied for first
Dean and Kerry were from neighboring states so they didn't count. It was a three way tie for first!

13. sure hope so
but the down side of his dropping out is that he may turn commentator on the race on FAUX no less. After all, he's tasted the waters of being in the limelight, and I fear he won't go quietly back to obsurity.

16. Lieberman can't bow out too soon...with despicable comments like these
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/02/02/politics/campaign/02CAMP.html?pagewanted=2

"Unlike some of the other candidates — who, I'm beginning to fear, are drifting toward outdated class warfare arguments — I'm never going to be an antibusiness candidate because it's businesses that create the jobs for people and help people work their way up into the middle class," he said.

Using the Rethug "class warfare" argument is truly despicable for a Democratic candidate.

He really is awful. 'Class warfare.' Why yes, Joe, it does actually make sense that my interests and the interests of the super wealthy do not always jibe.

17. A chicago columnist
was reporting a couple days ago that he was waiting until today to get his matching funds and then he was going to drop out. If this is true he should have given his 3 supporters a chance to vote for someone else and should have dropped out before election day today.

19. I dunno -- are Kucinich and Dean done?
Kucinich is stuck at around 1% in the polls. Dean isn't even contesting any of the primaries today. So when to they drop out?

Personally, I think everyone who hasn't won a primary or caucus by the end of today should drop out. Then perhaps we could finally have a real debate.

21. The difference
The difference between the Captain of the Joementum movement and DK and HD is that he doesn't seem to be crusading. I think he will quit after he bottoms out in Delaware and Oklahoma. I think Kucinich and Dean will take this all the way to the end, because they are fighting for something more than just the nomination.

I haven't voted yet in Missouri. You could convince me to bring some Joementum to the polling place!!!

30. A real debate? You mean like the one between..
...Joe and Uncle Dick in the 2000 campaign??

Nah, if we want a REAL debate, let's get Dean nominated and throw Junior in the ring with him.

He should be running slowly in the $$$ making, and the media is going to put him on block soon. This is the time to get out if he wants to save face.

24. I hope so!
If he really wants the Democrats to win he will drop out. The fewer candidates in the debate the easier it will be for people to see during the debates that John Edwards is by far and away the most electable candidate!
