Rummy today: "if every time two or three people disagreed....
we changed the Secretary of Defense of the United States, it would be like a merry-go-round."

Am I wrong, or does Rummy have his "numbers" wrong again?

3. I believe he was speaking of two or three generals...

He really needs to check the numbers.

The level of open revolt within the ranks is unprecedented, and he ought to take it seriously.

2. "If every time two or three -- or more -- people were tortured...
we allowed the Secretary of Defense to stay on the job, the al Qaeda recruitment initiative would be a dazzling success."

6. Fair enough, Rummy
How about we reserve that for when too many of our troops and innocent civilians die for no good reason? Is that a good enough reason to change Defense Secretaries, asshole?

7. Rummy's lucky he can't be hanged for incompetence.
The harm this stupid, stupid man has done to the U.S. and its armed forces rises practically to the level of treason.

"If I were president, I wouldn't have appointed Don Rumsfeld. I wouldn't have picked him to be the secretary of defense because I worked around him... He wasn't up to speed on the way the world had changed since the end of the Cold War. He was still in pursuit of enemies." -Wes Clark 11/19/03

"I think it would be very patriotic if Secretary Rumsfeld resigned." -Wes Clark 5/9/04

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4938258/

"The President’s never listened to the people in the field. He’s listened to Rumsfeld who has assured him that he knew what the people in the field were saying. But what he’s done is he’s intimidated a lot of people in the field from…they know what the required answer is and a lot of them trim their sails when they talk to Rumsfeld. They know what the consequences will be if they tell it to him straight and, of course Rumsfeld plays on that. He makes them think they’re worry-warts. He makes them think they don’t have confidence in themselves. He pushes on them, gets them to say what he wants them to say. He’s a master at it." -Wes Clark, 3/21/06

Is Rummy more interested what is in the best interest of the country and the armed forces, or what is in the best interest of Rummy? I think it's a valid question at this point for master of lies.

13. It's more than that....
On another web site, I read that these generals are in touch with active duty generals. It sounds like they are in touch with each other.

The active duty generals are also saying this: Rumsfailed has to go.

Today.

This afternoon.
