Disturbing Explanations

I don't find the leaks out of the White House as disturbing as the explanations for those leaks. And why can't anyone understand the explanations? Perhaps they don't want people to understand the explanations? And why would that be? Perhaps because there may be some illegalities involved? So wouldn't that be considered a "cover-up"?

And what exactly did Bush leak in the relevant NIE? He says he did so people could understand better what he was telling them? Was this the NIE that related to yellow cake and enriched uranium from Niger? Does anyone know? Has that information been made public?

If that was the information that was leaked, it was directly connected to Joe Wilson and the Plame case and is therefore connected to the Fitzgerald investigation? It is doubly incriminating in that the information was not accurate. The truth is easily defined and understood in such situations. Lies tend to confuse and shade the understanding of the issue. That's what we have with these explanations from Bush about the NIE that he leaked. By the way, where is Cheney??

1. It was the NIE related to yellow cake

That part wasn't made public. Neither was the part about the aluminum tubes. Because those parts didn't support BushCo's fear-mongering tactics. You can't really conjure mushroom clouds without yellowcake and enrichment tubes.

And anyway, it appears the declassification took place after Libby "shared" with Miller, so declassification is moot.

I'm sure Cheney's somewhere contemplating a "don't resuscitate" order.

2. I truly believe....

this is all part of a larger conspiracy here that has yet to be uncovered. Perhaps Fitzgerald has uncovered it, and he's trying to "flush them out" as it were.

Why hasn't Cheney commented on this?? Maybe Bush is trying to protect his VP? On orders from the VP..?
