Meredith Viera upsets Brent Bozell.Too damn bad.

Now that Katie Couric will be heading over to CBS to set back the news business about thirty years or so,Brent Bozoell is up in arms that...gasp...Couric's replacement at NBC,Meredith Viera,marched with her husband and kid in an anti-war protest and referred to the war as "being totally bulit on lies" and that an Ann Coulter response was "stupid". Maybe there is something good that can come out of Couric's leaving the "Today" show,and that the nation won't be forced to listen to her idiotic pro-Bush,pro-RNC talking points. CBS had the right person to take over the job,and that was John Roberts. Hopefully Ms. Perky will just sit there and read the news.

i've not watched THE VIEW for a while since they all started sounding somewhat CANNED in their commentaries etc etc etc. VIERA's HANDLING OF who wants to be a millionaire has turned us off (my family and me), so i just don't know how her thing at the TODAY show will turn out. I do wish her well...I AM NOT SURE HOW WELL MATT LAUER who was cradled by KC will take to VIERA, nor ANNE CURRY, NOR THE WEATHERMAN WHO HAD THE GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY (in a senior moment i have suddenly forgotten his name).

This afternoon's NBC press conference with Meredith Vieira was a pretty friendly affair. Most of the questions were softballs, so I thought I should ask about the views Vieira has expressed on The View.

The question: "Right-wing Web sites are calling you an anti-war liberal who said 'everything' in the Iraq war has been 'built on lies.' Are you concerned about that -- are you concerned that you are bringing baggage to the show?"

"No, I'm really not concerned," she responded. "Part of The View is to give your view..."

"There is nobody, I would argue, who doesn't have biases... , it's my responsibility to put those aside."'
