How Did The Cynthia McKinney Thing Escalate Into A Grand Jury......
so fast?

Seems like justice moves very quickly when it's not *Co.

McKinney must have hit a nerve with the 9/11 allegations and *Co. Looks like they want to silence her.

If accusations of that nature against members of this forum who hold a different view were not made. They are violations of the forum rules.

7. It Saves Face, Sir
That is all. This whole thing has no more signifigance, and no more substantial consequence in the offing, than a street theater performance. The officer's unsupported word is not really enoygh to charge a Representative with anything, and a grand jury provides a venue that may well return no true bill. No one wants a trial, and dhouls either side force one in its pride, there will be no sentence even if there is a conviction.

11. Unbelievable
These guys will go after Cynthia McKinney, but the Democratic Leadership can't even get ONE of Dubya's numerous war crimes to merit a censure vote.

12. I just heard that they just concluded a 10 year investigation
of one of Janet Reno's nominees, turns out that he fibbed on his income taxes and did not
fully disclose info to FBI during a background check. Now I read somewhere that the
Congress spent 8 hours investigating Abu Ghraib and 140 hours investigating the Clinton's
Christmas cards, they recently concluded the Whitewater investigation at the cost
of 70 million dollars, do you see either Bill or Hiliary sitting in the jug. But
Scooter Libby who's been indicted in 05, won't go to trial until 07. What's more
important trying someone for jabbing a cop with a cell phone or obstructing the outing
of a CIA agent?

15. Right. All signs of priorities.
The government can wrap something up pretty quick if it wants to.

No more no less. IIt is total distraction from reality of the corruption that the Repukes have to answer for.

to run herd on these "investigations" that amount to persecution, like the Whitewater 70 million debacle, it's pathetic, meanwhile those who dreamed up the torture memo are not even investigated for wrongdoing. I agree that Cindy McKinney should be reprimanded similar to Jean Schmidt for what she did.
