I'm a Mason, a group hated by many here. Personally, I think too much is put into these group's influence.

Heck, I have hard time getting a car jump from a lot of Masons. Organizations like the Masons and S&B might have had influence at one point, but I think those days are over.

Agreed. S&B should be left alone. Actions should count.
Personally, enough of Kerry's cause me pause to prevent be from supporting him, but you're right. The S&B (and Botox) issues should just go away.

15. Well.......it WAS important to make the connection about S&B, though.....

Given that the "Selection" happened to us Dems....one does worry about the "S&B" Fraternal order. An "elitist" group with the Chimp and his Poppy, Grandpoppy.

One should have focused on that, I think.

too much time on this...

9. if this place is any example
it is a pretty small sample that is concerned about this - vocal, yes... but pretty small. I don't think it will ever be much of an issue as much as it is an irritant (eg "bringing that up again...")

But I take such things in stride... because like you Keph, I live in the "conspiracy capitol of the country"... its real easy just not to "hear" it anymore... a conditioned response.

obligations.

This country is not about secret societies, secret initiations, secrecy or secret sub-governments.

How can any of your say it is baseless as a concern if you don't know its secrets.

We don't need another S&B President or even Senator. What is Kennedy doing?

14. easy
to me, it is baseless as a concern. Just said it. Not hard to do.

(sort of a "can I do x" sort of challenge when the response is: I don't know... can you?)

So any person who was in a fraternity or sorority in college should never run for office? Wow - I hope we start telling out 17 year olds this.

19. I know about those lifelong obligations, but if Theresa
doesn't mind John taking off once a month to go sleep in the coffin, I don't think the rest of us should. And he only has to take his clothes off and run around the Bonesman's sacred book once a year.

21. I agree
What you join in college has little influence on who you are now 25+ years later. I also agree that these organizations have much less influence over their members than they once did.

Thanks for the post.

27. There WAS a great Rebuttal on this issue here: Scrubbed by Masons???
I have often used this site to rebut claims that S+B is not significant and to bolster the argument that Kerry's membership makes him unfit for the Presidency.

This WAS Alexandra Robbins interview about her book on Skull and Bones.

A MUST read for those who are uninformed on these issues.

Here:

http://www.guerrillanews.com/counter_intelligence/doc808.html

But it musta got scrubbed. "Mason error" Wazzat?

This was a GREAT article.

Anybody know where I can get another?
