Kerry behind * & Dean in healthcare, communications&electronics donations
http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/0130-02.htm

This election cycle, Kerry took $531,251 from the health care industry, putting him among the top four recipients of such money – just behind President Bush and Democratic presidential contenders Howard Dean of Vermont and Sen. Joe Lieberman of Connecticut.

He was among the top three recipients – behind Bush and Dean – in the $883,950 he took from the communications and electronics industry.

It is silly for Dean to try this tactic when he can so easily be called on it. Calling John Kerry out on special interests is sheer hypocrisy on Dr. Dean's part.

2. great attitude..

I'm not committed to any candidate, but unless you just want to see your guy run respectably and lose against Chimpy, I wouldn't be burning bridges with that kind of trash talk if I were you.

5. So you would put Bush into office to smite members of the DU? Weird.
I hardly think the Kerry supporters can be labeled the trash talker champions.

3. I think it is a good thing Dean is attacking.
The more negative Dean goes on Kerry, the more of these phony charges we get out of the way.

Bush will be left with an empty quiver.

6. It's not Dean's tactic, it's Kerry's.
Kerry is making an anti-lobbyist stance a main issue in his campaign, not Dean. Dean is accurately calling Kerry on the dishonesty of that stance given his record.

On Meet The Press, Dean essentially said that he has taken money from the right special interest to be able to stick it to the wrong special interests, like pharmaceutical companies. He's not being dishonest about it as Kerry and Edwards are.
