Anyone who thinks in any way shape or form that Kerry would be somehow worse than Bush is either uneducated or needs their head examined.

5. Who would they vote for? Or would they abstain?
I sympathize with what you are saying, because its gonna be all I can do to go into a booth and pull a lever for one of the guys who helped get the U.s. into Iraq.

But, what will you accomplish?

to have the same input in the process does not deserve their vote.

Or is this a thinly veiled threat of exclusion to those of us who have a different idea than yours on how to save our party?

21. Can you say "sore loser"
Jesus, imagine if everyone acted this way. We'd never win another general election again.

I understand you support Dean. I supported him too up to a few days before Iowa - but your argument is completely irrational.

Do you want Bush to win?

Do you want Bush to name 3 Supreme Court Justices?

Do you want more wars?

Okay, you support Dean over Kerry...what if all the Kerry people said the same thing you just wrote if Dean were nominated?

It's time to grow up.

29. If it's overturned it will be because of the support to a candidate
that will either LOSE in NOV (most likely scenario), or win and bring total shame on the Dem party for the next 20 years.

24. The party which will allow you to vote in one of its primaries
will offer you the same amount of votes as everyone else (one). Please, register republican, and attempt to offer an input which will be accepted.

And while I dislike Kerry for many reasons, to not vote for the democrat in Nov. is a vote for Bu$h.

I hope you reconsider.

13. Thanks for inspiring me to redouble my efforts to get him elected.
I, for one, take great comfort in the knowledge that John Kerry will be the next President of the United States, no matter what any whiny Greeny babies might think of him.

17. Once again proving...
Why reactionary, emotional leftism sucks.

Principled leftist, based on a rational belief/moral/intellectual system, seems to make more sense...and electoral success.

That really is just counter-productive, we want the political pendulum to swing leftward, to do that, we need someone, anyone left of shrub to win, and dominate the national political agenda for the next 4 years. To work against Bush but for no one is one thing, to work against the left's best chance against Bush (that is, whoever the nominee will be) is self-defeating, and, frankly, idiotic.

19. To go from one Skull & Bones member to another
infuriates me.

We citizens are really gullible, naive, and stupid to place the highest office and all kinds of leadership positions in the hands of lifelong active secret society members.

Damn it we need a Hispanic, lesbian, agnostic, women (as oppose to a lesbian man). Maybe she would be different enough from bush for you.
Actually that sounds like a good idea.

I'm sorry but we've got to get Bush out...
and I've yet to hear a coherent arguement that sitting out the GE (and convincing your friends to..) will change a damn thing.
Show me a valid strategy adn I'm all for change. But Bush HAS TO GO.

32. Why do you take Dean's message farther than Dean?
Edited on Mon Feb-02-04 03:41 PM by lovedems
Dean isn't going to abandon the party if Kerry wins the nomination. I thought alot of you Dean supporters liked Dean because he is a fighter. He will stay with the democratic party and continue to try and change it and continue to say what needs to be said. You can jump ship if you like, but you will be doing it without your captain. Apparently you only listen to bits and peices of Dean and not his entire message.

Boy, I never thought I would see a bu$h supporter on DU. That is essentially what you are doing by telling everyone not to vote for Kerry if he wins nomination for the GE.
