I am doubtful that the Democrats could overtake the Senate, I just don't see the possibilities for pickups.

I really do think the site doesn't show really any bias. In fact, I can't even tell the political affiliation of the site owner. It is much more nonpartisan than some other election sites I've seen.

17. The Projection breakdown has the Dems in the minority in both houses
that's not a good sign for Dems at this juncture, even though it's an improvement - it isn't control.

Looking nationally, it seems the Democrats have a much better chance than when each race is assessed individually.

32. I'd rather the GOP lull itself
into thinking it will easily retain both houses. I worked the 1994 campaigns heavily in CA. The fear was there that we would lose alot of seats and make it difficult to retain a governing majority. But for the most part we didn't forsee losing both houses of congress, the potential was there so I wasn't shocked when it happened but for the most part we democrats were lulled into thinking we couldn't lose the majority.

The GOP is trying to be more proactive, they sense the potential of losing both houses of congress and the white house sees this too. They just don't admit it publicly.

The biggest factor in 1994 was the GOP's massive effort to DEPRESS democratic turnout. The GOP will do the same thing this year. Electrocute their base and make Democratic candidates radioactive.

We have to FIGHT hard agianst this. Will we have to hold our noses and vote for some fucking DINOs, yes! But when we gain the majority, rest assured I'll be one of the first in line to challenge the DINOs in the primary and keep our representatives feet to the fire.

Bush and company will use a Democratic congress to blame EVERYTHING on, the taxes, the war going badly, your mother's corn's on her feet, you fucking name it, we'll get blamed.
BUT WITH THE MAJORITY WE WILL HAVE SUBPOENA POWER AND THE POWER TO INVESTIGATE EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BUT WE HAVE TO GET IN THERE FIRST
