Bush is wetting his pants
If you hadn't noticed, George Bush is holding a press conference right now, and trying oh so hard to make his little bungled operation in Iraq look good. Yesterday, he went to Cleveland, and talked up the fine job we are doing over there, and now today's press conference. In a nutshell, George Bush is wetting his pants!!! I thought this president didn't look at polls? My friend Walter, has always contended that Bush never looks at polls, and does what he thinks is right. Now we know that's a bunch of horse-spit.
Do you really think that if Bush had an approval rating in the upper 50's or the 60's, he would seriously think about going to Cleveland, or talking to reporters about anything? Hell no!!! He would be sitting back, basking in his poll numbers, and every Republican under the sun would be asking him to come and campaign for them.
Bush, Rove, Cheney, and others see their little scheme going to hell, and this time, the American people are not falling for their lies. They know Iraq is in a civil war, and they also know this White House started it. This press conference, like the one yesterday, are examples of this White House desperately trying to put a positive spin on a rapidly worsening situation.
George Bush is in deep trouble, and he knows it. To try to put a happy face on Iraq is sickening. His continual lies have led us down a path that we shouldn't have gone down in the first place. Over 2300 soldiers are dead, 50,000 to 100,000 Iraqi civilians are dead, a low grade civil war is underway, and this pathetic White House is still trying to tell us everything is fine.
Mr. Bush, you sir, must be impeached!!! You cannot be permitted to keep your job. You are wholly responsible for the situation in Iraq. You are a pathetic human being, and a murderer. The sooner you're out of office, the better the US, and the world will be.

4. his body language is weak and confused
he keeps rudely cutting reporters off saying "excuse me" as he continues to ramble on with rhetoric like "democracies historically don't war." He must have read different history books than me.

3. He is so funny to watch
It's like he gets so frustrated that nobody just takes his word for what he says. And he looks like such a moron when he says very serious stuff with a big grin on his face. It's like he thinks if he can laugh his way through the questions, everything will be fine.

Hard to believe people voted for this guy over someone articulate and intelligent.

6. "Dead Iraqi would have loved democracy"
It was the headline on an Onion story around the beginning of Dick & Rummy's Excellent Iraqi Adventure (I think taht was the time frame), and I've still yet to see anything top it in terms of its oblique, satirical comment on the absurdity of this war.

8. I found it in the archives:
"BAGHDAD, IRAQ—Baghdad resident Taha Sabri, killed Monday in a U.S. air strike on his city, would have loved the eventual liberation of Iraq and establishment of democracy, had he lived to see it, his grieving widow said.

"Taha was a wonderful man, a man of peace," his wife Sawssan said. "I just know he would have been happy to see free elections here in Iraq, had that satellite-guided Tomahawk cruise missile not strayed off course and hit our home."

A shoemaker and father of five, Sabri, 44, was listening to the radio at 3 a.m. when a missile launched from a U.S. warship in the Persian Gulf veered off course and struck just feet from his house. Sawssan was away at the time, tending to an ailing aunt in the Baghdad suburb of Mansour.

"My husband was no fan of Saddam," Sawssan said. "He felt he was a terrible despot. If the Americans do drive him from power, it will be that much more of a shame that they killed Taha."

7. Bush on tv
You people must have stronger stomachs than I do...I can't even watch him for a second without being hit by cramps. Even his idiot voice makes me want to puke. If he had a brain he'd play with it.

11. He probably believes his own lies.
It's a trait of pathological liars. Wouldn't what 'God' told him not be true.

Hearing voices, there's a name for that......It's called schizophrenia.

18. Karl Rove got Dimson into the White House
Using tricks and lies. But to govern, well that's trick these ass wipes don't care to know. So what we get is more tricks like Saddam on trial (Rove's historic version of Nazi's on trial) what a joke. And invading Iraq pushing a reason a week for this fiasco -- first it was terrorism, then it was WMDs, nukes, freeing Iraqis, creating Democracy blah, blah blah. Iraq was Rove's big trick to keep Dumbya in office. If Rove set up these "face the Nation" or "reality is what Dumbya says" press conferences, then they were bound to be disaster. The only thing Rove has succeeded at is disaster with the exceptions of getting Bush in office, killing and stealing. Pathetic.

17. One drawback to controlling both houses of Congress
not to mention the judiciary, etc...

is that there's no one else to blame. Oh sure, you can blame Democrats or whoever, but when people start taking a hard look and they realize that although Dems may have gone along with some parts of it, the key things were initiated by your administration and your congress and your party, and it's hard to blame anyone else for what went wrong.

If Dems had one of the houses of Congress we might not be in this mess overall, but it actually would be easier for Bush because he could toss the blame elsewhere. As it is, there's no one to blame but himself.

Suck it up, George.
