Are they really as stupid as they appear to be?
Much of the focus of late has been on just how utterly stupid Scrub and his cronies are and the idioxcy of their acts. With a goodly dose of the same for any who still profess to support the current admin.

And indeed taken in isolation the acts and the people behind them do appear to be pretty bloody dumb.

However, it really beggars belief that these folk could possibly get away with being this stupid as often as they have been, for as long as they have managed accidentally.

Remember the real movers and shakers here have been quitely and diligently at work for decades to get themselves into the possitions that they occupy today. They just aren't the sort to do all that work and then blow the lot in an orgy of destruction. Not unless you subscribe to the notion that they think they're doing "God's Work" by kick starting Judgment Day.

One or two incidents might be down to sheer stupidity. But the sheere level of incompetence necessary to pull off the lot would have the perpetrators strangling themeselves whilst attempting a Windsor.

Examining the entire mess as a whole on the other hand makes a certain perverted sense:

What follows is a rambling (and not at all comprehensive) list of talking points/acts of idiocy I've jotted down as I trawled through the many articles and discussions here on DU. Individually they speak to an incompetent executive. Collectively even the most stupid of acts start to make some very, very sick sense.

Transition memo warning of grave threat presented by Al Qaida not pursued until 04/11/2001.

No meetings at all on AQ until above date. (Might the words “OK it’s going down.” and/or “Ready with the ‘Patriot’ plan?” have been heard by a fly on the wall in a smoke filled room?)

Mosad agents in position filming towers in advance of plane strikes. (Dancing at times of impact!!!!????) Vans? Explosives? Roundup and release a month later of 1000 Middle Easterners including agents. ???? Why not Guantanamo?

High level Israeli expressions: similar to “Common Adversary” “Brotherhood” “Ties of ‘blood’ ”

Crush Afghanistan until oil interest needs are met and abandon leaving a bloodied but essentially intact Al Qaida behind to pursue a wholly manufactured war in Iraq.

The war in Iraq appears to have been prosecuted with malice and forethought and an aim to sow as much discord in the guise of bringing peace.

  • Only oil interests secured again.
  • Interests of great military concern left unguarded (nuclear facilities and Ammo dumps. (thank whatever that there really weren’t those WMDs.) Both were looted.)
  • Cultural interests also left to fend for themselves. (Looted again)
  • Shake and bake tactics; Wedding parties; etc.
  • Abu Grahib and more. (One Nation under Psy-Ops.)

A desensitised military ready to operate on US soil – Continual speculation about use of Martial Law.

Detention centres on US soil for hundreds of thousands.

Ongoing erosion of Civil Liberties. The time to act was the day the first “Free Speech” zone was erected if not before. Every part of the Bill of Rights, bar the 2nd Amendment, has been violated to some degree and usually on multiple occasions. The violations are ongoing.

Expiration of the Voter(ing?) Rights Act could well lead to a repeat of the Civil Rights Riots of the 60’s. Esp. If “provoked”.

  • Declare Martial Law.
  • Call the troops home. Can either:

    • Retreat under the guise of necessity, leaving behind a seething cauldron; or
    • Institute draft with much reluctance and rotate out “hardened” (desensitised) soldiers to defend the “nation” at home.

  • Purge opposition into camps (draft potential trouble makers???).
  • Place the last few cronies in their seats.
  • Crown Self
  • Mission accomplished.

New expressions of getting Osama. Possibly this time they are sincere. Bin Laden in US custody would almost certainly not affect AQ’s operational effectiveness and might with similar certitude incite AQ to a dangerous escalation of activities.

Getting Osama rehabilitates the president or entrenches his replacement.

Machiavellian by any standards. But taken holistically many inexplicable and sometimes insane acts acquire a certain twisted logical when placed in a process of creating the tools and conditions necessary to effect a coup from the Top.

Another parallel to the lead up to WWII is: “Big Business” from “allied” nations involving themselves on the side of military expansion. (They would do well to remember the fate of almost all of those concerns who initially supported the Nazi regime. Almost all fell to the control of Hitler sooner or latter.)

2. You may also ask is if the msm is as stupid as they are.
Why is it that we had no real reporting on this before we went to war. Matter of fact, the msm was basically cutting and pasting their reporting right out of the pentagon (Judith Miller).

I no longer believe anything I hear in the msm because of this.

3. Ok at this point in history it seems crazy, as I advance through your
chronology, but frankly I'm in total agreement. Good Show!
