FOX & Friends Trio Sinks to All-Time Low, Makes Fun of Abu Ghraib
If this has been posted before, which I'm am sure it has because you guys are quick, I am sorry, but it is just so powerful. Go to the link and read the entire post but be warned the pictures at the end might make you a wee bit angry. Personally I'm ashamed.

Yesterday morning FOX & Friends weather guy Steve Doocy, blonde eye candy Edith Ann "E.D." Hill and football player-turned-FOX-host Tiki Barber sank to new lows during a snide and mocking gabfest in which they made disparaging remarks about the Abu Ghraib detainee whose humiliation at the hands of American soldiers became the symbol of all that is wrong with this administration's ill-conceived and disastrous invasion of Iraq.

I will never forget the day OUTFOXED producer Jim Gilliam e-mailed us an attachment with the ominous warning that it contained very disturbing images of torture in Iraq. As I clicked image after image of scenes out of a Hieronymous Bosch painting, I remember the terrible feelings of rage and shame that welled up inside. I was beyond disgusted. And I was afraid. Being a smart woman, I knew that Americans acting in my name had perpetrated these monstrous acts and, therefore, symbolically, I, as a citizen of this country, would pay a price for their actions.

The most disturbing of the photos was the one of the unnamed hooded man, arms outstretched, electrodes attached to his hands, standing on a stool in a silent and gruesome parody of the crucifixion.

Yesterday, the FOX & Friends hosts exhibited the emotional maturity of banana slugs as they joked about the photograph in an immature segment designed to denigrate the ACLU and The New York Times. It was beyond a doubt one of the most thoughtless and tasteless exhibitions I have ever witnessed.

Here's the transcript. If you agree with me that FOX hit a new low, I urge you to let them know how you feel.

1. Of all the talking heads
They really are the most offensive. Worse than even O'Reilly. Every time I have watched them I have wished I was in the studio with a baseball bat. Especially that damn woman. Fakest damn "people" on the face of the planet.

2. I blocked that station from my TV
It's been deprogrammed from the TV. In the world I live in, there is no Fox News.

I endorse a la carte cable plans that would allow us to get cable on a per station purchase plan. That way I don't have to pay for Fox News.

4. FOX News has no bottom to how low they will go.
Hannity, O'Reilly, Fred Barnes are predictable goons, but Fox's greater danger to society may just lie in their giving air time to these blithering idiots. Didn't know Tiki Barber was a blithering idiot, but I do now. Hope others will, too.

5. Nearly all of the REAL journalists of our time
have either passed on, retired, or now have their hands bound by BushCo.

May as well give up on finding any true journalism on TV anymore.

6. I have been past ashamed for quite a while now.
I am sick, disgusted, weak and powerless. Betrayed by a body which will not permit to do what must be done. I am confined to posting messages on boards such as this, which while therapeutic is hardly a substitute for more concrete action.

I feel we are complicit in this, we are aware, yet we fail to react. The world sees this as a lack of concern, see how they react to offensive CARTOONS?
