Kerry's numbers soar after Will Pitt moves to Kucinich.
And may I add that there is absolutely no connection between the two events. ;)

Anyway, Glad to have Mr. Pitt on our side, but I do enjoy watching the polls even if Kerry leaves everyone else eating his dust right now.

He is the first Democrat to actually poll favorably against Bush (with a whooping 2% margin, but hey) and for that I salute him.

In Kerry's slip stream, Bush's approval ratings have also dropped below 50% for the first time in his Presidency (or at least since it matters). A long time ago, I CB'd that this would turn the media around and start a flood of negativity about our beloved President from the press.

A short recap of my thesis. The media does not sell news, they sell advertisement. Therefore, they will bring the news that they assume the people want to hear, so their audience is pleased and multiplies without going forth.
With less than half of this brave nation approving of our junta leader, the cable news stations (the media that seems to have the biggest impact and the least diversity) have no choice but to follow their audience to the other side.

I feel hopefull again...happy almost. I better go piss off my boss before it becomes a habbit.

2. You mean....
Beating Bush is more important than your particular candidate getting the nomination? Who would have thunk it!

8. Ummm...no, that is not what I mean
I always try to minimize the interpretation margin.

I mean that I am glad to see the polls look the way they should, with a Democrat on top. That's the general concept that I/we like, but there is still time to move things around a couple of times.

I can tell you never helped my wife redecorate a living room.

10. Actually, wrong on several levels
Beating Bush is NOT the most important thing in this election. The shortsightedness of those who buy into that myth is the most disturbing aspect of this election cycle.

My particular candidate is the only one who sees it the way I do. Sadly, that so many people have missed the point spells doom for my candidate and my party.

3. For what its worth
A Jan.28-31 Quinnipiac University poll has Kerry leading bush 51 to 42

His next closest Dem rival is Dean. He leads 42 to 11.

6. I think Will will eventually make a fine addtion to Kerry's campaign
if he gets the nomination but he needs the experience with Kucinich in order to be effective. Going from journalist to Press Secretary is like going from department store TV buyer to Sony sales rep --your rolodexes are similar but it's a different ballgame.
