That's right, for those Dems who bow to Bush on bended knee, we want to send you something practical. Knee pads! No need to get all uncomfortable in your position of servitude to the status quo.

In the meantime, those of us who really care about changing directions in this country are all going out to organize not only censure but also full impeachment and removal of George W. Bush, Richard Cheney and co-conspirators for their crimes against humanity and the American people.

We are going to rid this country of Bush and his whole program of militarism, racism, and economic injustice!

The weak and spineless ones can go play in their sandbox.

6. It seems to me that DUers spend a lot of time
raging against the spinelessness of the Democrat leadership. If we don't change that leadership or give them a clue, we'll just continue wasting our time complaining.

Call your senators and demand that they support Feingold's resolution for censure...

8. We should have a weekly drawing to see who wins...
the 'kneepadder of the week' and then send a monogrammed pair to their office. I'll spring for a couple sets, if it would help get the ball rolling. Any takers?

10. FEINGOLD GOT IT INTO COMMITTEE - it's building support.
Stop attacking all Dems when this is just getting off the ground.

Don't we have a corporate media already spinning this against Dems AND Feingold? Do we need to support their spin?

Send Mickey Mouse ears to the mice. They need bigger ears to hear.

14. I think they probably hear just fine.
Ignoring what they are hearing is what's likely causing the problem.

Regardless, if there is some consensus on which approach to take, I'm all 'ears.'

This could be done easily without any special features from DU. One of us would just have to post a thread on Friday calling for suggestions on who makes the list. After a full day of suggestions, a poll would be posted to select a winner from among the nominees.

Line up and be counted...

16. Which Dems have stated flat out that they would NOT vote to censure Bush?
Which Dems have flat out said that they would vote to censure? (The only ones I've heard of so far is Feingold, who is pushing for it, and Kerry has said he'd back it.)

Which Dems have said they're looking into it or undecided?

Have any Republicans had the brassy ones to go against the party BS and said they'd back this?

Once we know for sure who is doing what and who has not decided we can then send which ever is appropriate whether it's knee pads, empty envelopes for empty promises (from post on DU by MythSaje earlier), letters encouraging them to do so or letters congratulating them and thanking them for standing up against Bush and his ongoing crimes.
