Boston Legal - That Was A Powerful Speech ....
that was just made on behalf of a client. It was a concocted charge so James Spader could pontificate about all that is wrong with America and Americans !

I hope someone finds the text. It strikes at the very heart of what we are enduring as a people.

1. Too Cool!
I'd forgotten it was on tonight. Never miss it anymore. One of the best progressive shows on the air. Of course, it's David E. Kelley, whose shows are almost always very progressive.

2. If the text is found
we should overwhelm the email of the Democrats in Congress with copies of it.

5. Thank you, that would be so great of you!
In fact, in keeping with the spirit, it would be down right American of you!

4. Super Idea ! All At the DU Should Watch It....
...because Kelly has tossed off the shackles of "fair and balanced" and has decided to speak to the truth. I tip my hat to him.

6. I was impressed at the point he made about making protesting a crime.
Since Arlen Spector introduced legislation to the effect of making it a felony.

8. I'm only 5 minutes in so far...
Watching on VHS delay. I've only gotten to this part (dialog typed below) and was already inspired to head over here to check for a thread on the episode. Thanks for not letting me down, DU. ; )

(I love BL for having well-dressed, rich lawyer characters, on network TV in prime time, espousing political sentiments the likes of which I may have at times worried I should be whispering if said in public. It's heartening to be reminded that, especially not any more, it's not just my pals, or the people in certain places on the internet, or the cable comedy channel news show...)

"Oh come on, I can't be the first person to forget to pay her taxes...

You sent the form back with a note saying 'Stick It.'

I was extremely close to my grandfather.

I'm sure you feel you've just explained things...

He served in World War II. He was such a proud American, and I just started thinking how embarrassed he would be about what's happening today.

What's happening?

Us torturing people, the spying on our own people, squashing everybody's civil liberties -- my grandfather would weep. It makes me weep."
