Heckofajob Brownie to take phone calls on CSPAN WJ Monday morning!
Peter announced this at the end of Washington Journal this AM. The Democratic/Independent phone calls will be brutal (The usual RWingnuts will call to support him). I think this will be the first time Brownie will speak directly to the public. I can't wait.

1. He's done an incredible job of rehabilitating his image
and gosh, brownie, how'd ya do that? Told the truth.

Went to the quarter yesterday. The old girl is coming back. Parking is much better but the crowds are still small. Most restaurants and bars are open. Per the paper, strip clubs are doing a booming business with security personnel and construction workers. I'm taking the wife down tomorrow. She hasn't been in almost a year. We'll have some fine quarter cuisine, and a nice cold beer on the balcony of the TI. Slidell remains the traffic jam from hell.

2. Please raise a cold beer in a toast to NOLA for us!
I'm going to call my sister-in-law today and find out if she has her roof and bedroom fixed yet. As of 3 weeks ago, she still had not slept in her own bed since the hurricane.

Are there two Tropical Isle locations? I found their website and there seem to be two bars. I can imagione that the strip clubs are ding very well! I seem to remember a story about strippers who rode out the storm in the FQ and set up shop again immediately after the hurricane passed! I'm glad to know that part of NOLA is coming back. It sounds like Slidell is still a mess.

Brownie does seem to be telling the truth (What does he have to lose at this point?) and the truth is not what BushCo wants the public to know.

Springtime has sprung here and the flowers are beautiful! I've ignored my house and garden for a week because I was searching for my lost cat. I got her back yesterday afternoon! I am so relieved that my little deaf kitty cat is home again. I explored every storm drain, dumpster pad, street, house and wooded area near my home for 7 days. I'm tired now. The cat is taking a well-deserved super long cat nap on the sofa as we speak!

3. There are two tropical Isles on Bourbon
owned by the same folks. I go to the one on Bourbon and Orleans. The other is on Bourbon and Toulouse; that one has a restaurant. They also own Funky Pirate and a wine restaurant on Orleans right behind St Louis Cathedral. The TI is a gold mine. It will be my pleasure to toast the Big Easy on behalf of her friends in Georgia. About every three months or so the neighbors kids are prowling the neighborhood looking for their cat. She always makes it home safe and sound. Crepe Myrtles are "fixing to" blow up as is the Red Bud. Hydrangeas are teasing me with their little green growth. Azaleas are blooming very nicely this year thanks to Katrina who has provided them with a lot more sunshine. We are having out of season warm weather right now. Ya'll take care.
