Rep. "Rep. Ted Poe(R-Texas) Quote".
Edited on Thu Mar-09-06 05:52 PM by Dhampir Kampf
I was just watching CSPAN, and he was talking about Freedom.

And he said,"This is why people in Iraq, and Afganistan want Freedom".

Wait a minute -- I thought we just granted them their freedom when we invaded?

So, they aren't free?

You just admitted to us being a nation, occupying to other nations without granting them their freedom?

UPDATE:

And he just said, that the founding fathers meant the legislative branch to be the most powerful, the excutive the second, and the judiciary the lowest.

wtf

Ever heard of the system of Checks and Balances that they created?

Why would they create this if they meant for them to be UN-equal.

4. "Texas Democrat politicos" not only have brains they have balls.
Just sayin', your post sounded as if even they are stupid, making Texas Republicans even stupider.

Trust me, being a Texas Democrat and admitting it takes guts around here.

AND factual ammo, which is why I hang out at DU.

Democrat politician would be considered a repuke elsewhere in the country in the way they think.
Thank God my Congressman is Lloyd Doggett, but look at some of the other TX congresscritters and tell me how forward thinking they are. I've been in Austin for 32 years and believe me, I've seen some real winners.

3. Didn't you get the memo?
All of the citizens in the Middle East asked Bush* to grant them freedom. They were also willing to lose their life or health just for that reason! They were too WEAK to fight for it themselves!

Remember when the Kurds thought Bush Sr. would help them achieve freedom?

Oh wait, that didn't go so well...

6. someone help me out
I can't remember what the phrase "co-equal branches of government" is supposed to mean. I guess it's just like this Einstein says--co-equal means the executive is the most powerful, followed by the legislative and the judiciary. Or, if you're into numerology, I suppose you could express it as 2=4=6.

I wish I could fire morons like Ted Poe on the spot for being such an ignorant fuck when it comes to the basic operation of government.
