Raw Story: "Chris Matthews taking money from conservative groups: Noon"
So...the teaser has been revealed. Anyone surprised by this? But it does answer the question asked earlier today ("How IS he paying for that house on Martha's Vineyard?")

Stay tuned, boys & girls...

6. If that's the same story that Raw is planning to "break"...
...my first reaction is "there's got to be more to it than that."

I think Tweety's "mob ties" to this administration go much deeper than Abramoff. We'll find out soon enough.

5. DO NOT WATCH HIS SHOWS!!
If you are so intent on finding out what he's saying, go to an online blog after he's done spewing his lies and garbage.

Treat this Bozo like you would rush, o'leilly, hannity, carlson, hume, etc. Do not give his advertisers ANY attention whatsoever. By watching him, you're also watching his commercial breaks.

Anything of importance that you might hear on his show, you'll be able to find out about via another venue, whether it be online, on Air America or perhaps just by waiting until 8 EST for Countdown.

The more his viewership declines, and the more people avoid listening to him, the lesser his pull will eventually be. It sickens me that so many liberals listen to these Schmucks, when they realize what a waste of time it is.

The point is, there is Nothing of value to be provided by these Idiots. Lies Lies Lies! Spin Spin Spin!

7. I don't watch him anymore....
I pretty much get the gist of his GOP fluff pieces from Raw Story, Crooks & Liars, Huff Post and Media Matters.

I think it was his guests that ultimately soured me...Ben Ginsberg and Kate O'Bierne and their ilk. Maybe it was the "Hardball Hotshots" nonsense. No matter...I'm an "ex-viewer."

that's sort of like driving past a huge car wreck and trying hard not to look.

14. Not Quite....
It's like going out of your way to drive past a huge car wreck, just so that you can watch.

There are about a million alternatives to watching msnbc while he's on.

17. I told Tweety's staffer I would spend $ for his show, I don't think much
him or his opinions, but his attack on Kennedy was disgusting and I could not let that go. When I told her I didn't think much of CM and wouldn't pay for the show(cable program selection)she got a bit twisted and huffy.

13. I don't either, but how else do you
'splain to Lucy, why his show kicks donkey's ass every night? The worse case for CM, he's a corporate shill. Nothing new :(

15. Not surprised . . .
I've thought he'd been "bought" for some time now; adds up, the second home, his sudden, extremely transparent, statements in support of the right -- what a lousy actor, given that yesterday he stated it would be nice to act or write a screen play, something he's thought of doing and day before yesterday he said he "used" to be part of the midde class. What a jerk. I continue to watch because I think it's important to learn, first hand, what these crooks are up to.

16. The article seems sharply edited..
I realize Tweety is at the top there, but it's time for Raw Story to investigate the cable and broadcast media conflict of interest from ownership down to the personalities and the stories they cover and how they cover it etc etc etc..

18. Comments
With the comments he has been making lately you had to wonder what was going on. The comments he was making just seemed to lean a little too far to the right even for Chris Matthews. I kind of wondered if Matthews had made a deal with the Republicans because he just seemed to be saying to many great things about the Republicans and too many bad things about the Democrats.

19. I continue to watch cause I think it's important to know what's going on.

As far as boycotts go, boycotting specific sponsors and letting them know why, seems to be the most effective way to go.

I do wonder what happened to his love affair with McCain. Yesterday Tweety called him a Neo-con. Tweety is on the Rudolph J. bandwagon now. I am also wondering if he would ever have James Webb on his show. (That's a real story of a Reagonite coming back to the Democratic fold.) Tweety once mentioned that he would sit at Redskin games with George Allen. I DARE Tweety to have Webb on Hardball.
